This is not a normal Park and Ride that you get with most other cities and large towns. You park your car as normal, but there is no dedicated bus to take you into Birmingham. If there was a bus it would take around 1 hour to get there.
The 'ride' part of the description is a train from the railway station approximately 2 minute walk, where you pay the standard return ticket price of £5pp. The Lichfield train is approx every 30 minutes and goes via Birmingham New St Station which takes 22 minutes.
The car parking is £2, payable on exit from one of the machines. We wondered why the car park seemed so quiet. Now we know.
So to remind you. THIS IS NOT A PROPER PARK AND RIDE.

Plenty of room. Clean and tidy. A short walk to the railway station. We found it difficult to find the stairs or lift to the first floor on our return.

Right next to train station for links to university. Also a short walk to costa/ sainsburys. Would use again. Pay on exit -machine on ground floor when return from station.

States it’s £2 all day for a bank holiday but was charged over £5 for our stay less than 24 hours

It did the job but the ticket machines were great. Didn't seem to recognise anyones number plates on entry.

Avoid. Useless on information. I had no idea if I could leave my car here overnight for a two day meeting in the middle of Birmingham. So poorly communicated I ended up arranging the meeting outside of Birmingham, instead. Birmingham City Council: GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER.
