Nice straight line walk alongside the River Ver. Free car park but beware it's a hot spot for car break-in. My own car had its window smashed and the glovebox ripped out. Thief thought there were valuables locked in it, there wasn't!

I like this carpark and walk. Easy walking by the river. You can turn round and head back or make a loop

Nice free car park with room for 20 cars or so. It is right on the River Ver so easy to follow the Ver trail. Munden is close if you want to get on to the Hertfordshire Way or Shenley for the Watling Chase Trail. Currently (end of January) there is a lot of flooding and one of the footpaths under the M25 near London Colney is impassable (as is access to Munden itself) due to the river bursting it's banks. However lovely area to walk in the right weather and there is a pub close to the car park for refreshments and facilities if it wasn't closed due to lockdown!

It's not actually the car park I'm writing about - it is the trail along the river. Very picturesque. Especially on a sunny day. Not many people walking there on the week days so it's quiet and relaxing experience.

A handy car park for the walk along the river, but make sure you hide your valuables, as it is a bit of a hotspot for the light fingered, as the occasional piles of broken car window glass will testify.
