Civic Centre Car Park

Easy parking when you have the paybyphone app...which I did. So convenient and secure.

Terrible parking - very dark, dingey and spaces are tight including the entrance and exits. To top it off, it is cash only and does not give change.

Only positive is that it's central to town.

Cannot pay by cash or card, only by an app, drove out and went to a proper car park

Lower and ground levels are OK for parking but spaces in the top level are far too close together.

Only come if you have exactly £1.50 in change. Sly and underhand overcharging tactics.

Convenient location, not very clean though. Prices are ok for the location.

Quite expensive considering how badly lit the car park is. It's not very good for those with limited visibility and doesn't seem to be very accessible unless you park on the basement level which is a separate entrance round the side. Otherwise, you've got some outdoor steps on the side of the building to access your car. If you have a wide car, you may struggle to park it here unless you park in between the pillars as any space directly next to a pillar is rather narrow. I have a mark 4 golf and I'm okay but anything bigger might struggle. Any time I'm going to park in this area again, I'll definitely use the basement level instead.

Every time we would go out to St Albans Parking was always a concern and always an issue. But this is one of the best situated and more spacious Car Parks in the area. Not only is it 5 min from the Malting Mall but it is always ample with space - the prices are not ridiculous or extortionate - and the bays are well spaced out so even the larger vehicles are easily accommodated for. We do not even look for any other spaces now as this is the GO TO spot for Parking of every visit. Definitely recommend for frequent visitors.
