Nice place for few hours, ideal for kids and relaxing next to picturesque lake. Less one star, I thought parking timing was unreasonable.

Fascinating adventurous Fairlop Waters Country Park has two large car parks off Forest Road at either side of the lake! There is a dedicated section for Disabled Car Parking Bays ♿ 🅿! Valid Blue Badge Holders can park FREE 🆓 of charge!
Even though it is a large car park - at busy times, it becomes full very quickly! Car Parking Charges can be paid via mobile phone app! Even though the surface is concrete, it prones to wet & muddy!
If you are going to use any of the following facilities then Main Car Park 1 is the closest car park - Toilets 🚻 & Accessible ♿ 🚽 Toilets at the Boat House, Owls Indoor Play Centre, Fairlop High Ropes, The Boat House, Fiskardo Restaurant, Fairlop Rowing Club, Fairlop Windsurfing, Fairlop Remote-controlled Car Club, Fairlop Waters Sailing Club, Fairlop Waters Commemorative Sculpture, Lakeview Marquee, Aqua Bounce UK, Boat Hire - all of these are adjacent to the Main Car Park 1. Having said that, Car Park 2 is also within short distance!

It said on the website that one payment option at Fairlop Water Car Park was by cash. That must have been way out of date, as when we arrived, there was only RingGo available as an accepted payment method. Having had a dreadful experience when trying to register with RingGo a few weeks ago elsewhere, we'd vowed never to try it again so unfortunately we had to leave and forgo our visit.
