Situated at the end of a series of narrow lanes but worth the drive. On arrival the scenery is beautiful with Ger Tor straight ahead and Hare Tor just over the ridge. Take the little track off to the side past Nattor Farm and the walk is worth it, because Tavy Cleave lies ahead with the river and Leat. A muddy and often flooded drive in the autumn and winter, but dry in the summer. Oh, and the parking is free.

Car park's too small really, and not fun to reach. Great walks are possible from here, though. Just get here early to guarantee yourself a space.

Good size car park (space for about 10 cars I think) and in the most beautiful location. The lane leading to the car park is narrow and windy and many horse riders use this spot to hack so take it slow! From this car park you can easily access the Mine Leat and the views from Nat Tor are well worth the steep and boggy climb. Highly recommended spot for anyone willing to go slightly off the beaten track. Check firing times with the MOD before use.

Small but promising car park in the middle of nowhere. The route in can be difficult if you're not used to winding roads & sheep, but none of it is too hairy. Good access to several tors if it's not a live fire day - if in doubt the car park sign has the MoD's number on it.

I ended up getting there on a live fire day but the MoD man kindly directed me to another nearby carpark which gave explosion-free access to Dartmoor 🙌

Very peaceful with the sound of the river flowing. Beautiful river and tor hike over paths and rocks. Take care on the edge of the leat as it can be slippery as I found out when I fell in. Check times before setting off as this is in the Dartmoor firing range.

Plenty of room, but the lanes are very narrow, so beware.
