Reasonably secure car park with post park payment system. Be aware you only get ten minutes to exit after you pay, which isn't a lot especially if you have uncooperative young children to strap in.

Note: This is Hampden House not Upper Hundreds Car Park, which is next door. Hampden has always been pay by machine at arrival and not when you get back to leave. Some reviews seem to be confused as it’s Upper Hundreds that is pay on departure. The other main difference is that Hampden has all levels below ground, while Upper Hundreds is ground level and higher. Both use ramps and stairs for people access. I took off a star as Hampden needs the right payment when you arrive and you probably will get a penalty ticket if you ‘forget’ or don’t pay enough, otherwise it’s great - cool in hot summers and a bit warmer when freezing in winter.

A very dated and old car park with difficult to negotiate bends, inadequate lighting and insufficient signage.

Nice dry underground parking lot. But it's incredibly expensive.. for example, I wanted to nip in for 5 mins to store above (QnD) and they wanted £2.50 for 5mins. But it's also £2.50 for five hours so really well thought out.

First time to the town and the car park I wanted was full. Luckily I noticed a sign to Hampden House car park which was 1 min away. It's all underground and was nearly empty when I arrived at 7.20pm on a Friday night. 0-5hrs stay £2.50. I thought that was good if your there for more than 2hrs as I was. It closes at 10pm so it should be safe to leave your car locked up all night. Lots of lights and I had no problems with manoeuvring around going in and out.
