Loads of parking, great walks and reasonable parking charges. £1 for 3 hours. Nice to see parking with no obligatory height barriers....thanks for sharing your lovely common with us.

Great for walking around into the woods but they are quite steep hills,ok if you are mobile, there is a pub,hot or cold food next door,a public toilet, and a car park with a ice cream van on most days, great if you want lazy days in the sun.

Can be very busy during dry weather. The car park has created honeypot trails nearby that are struggling with erosion as too many people waddle up the first section and then back down again to eat picnics in their car. Still a lovely spot. Best enjoyed on a wet day when it's quieter!

A parking charge applies when you can park elsewhere for free.
Signs up to keep the place tidy but NO litter bins 🚮. Nowhere for dog bags.
A miserable ice cream seller who does not deserve the trade. There are far nicer places to see the Chase.

Gorgeous place. Awesome for dog walking and not too much of a walk to the stepping stones

Lovely walks along here and peaceful. At times can be busy, such as school holidays. Peaceful walk along a river and can across at the stepping stones there. Good place to walk a dog. There is parking, which is usually paid for.

I feel a little ashamed giving this place a 3 rating. It is very open, has a good carpark and many walk routes, picnic benches, and is after all the gateway to the Quarry, Severn springs etc etc. It is in the middle of many amenities such as a pub, wimpy, shops, ....its nice but not beautiful as many other very close places are.

Get there early for the fee parking. Lovely base for walks on Cannock chase. Gets really busy in the summer and weekends.
