It's a parking spot in the middle of nowhere. The bridge up ahead is closed down, so there isn't much traffic. There is a national park next to it. The area is dotted with ancient grave mounds, yet people regularly drive here to walk their dogs, and have them mess all over the place.Lots of trash in the local woods. Horse riders are a occasional sight following a marked path. The place at night is spooky looking. Mist permeates from the ground. Truck drivers sometimes sleep here. And so do I in my car. People seem oblivious to this fact.

A great place for a short family walk. Read the info, the mounds, or tors 2 mins north of the car park are ancient burial grounds. The view from the front of the windmill / golf club house towards Dorking is lovely. A pint in the Skimmington Castle, nestled in the woods on the other side of the road along Bonnys lane is well worth it too, a great open fire to warm up by and a good selection of beer too.

This car park has two parts on bith side of the roads. It's free. Also, it's bumpy and you should be careful of potholes.
