Long Stay Central

A conveniently located car park with loads of spaces, does tend to look a bit like a paved demolition site, even more so now that they have felled ALL the trees on the section of river bordering the carpark and replacing them with vast amounts of black plastic sheeting and sandbags! Very environmentally friendly!!

The worst maintained car park I have ever seen. Every time I drive down the central road I'm worried about scraping the underside of my car. Uneven surface throughout, barely visible lines marking the bays and the local crack heads always approach everyone asking for money. The only thing good about it is its location. It's shameful that the council have allowed it to get into this condition.

Lots of construction and some tight parkings but plenty spaces available outside and under cover. Really easy to pay for parking using MiPermit, 700186. Currently £1.70 per hour.

An absolute disgrace and poor welcome to visitors. Not clear where short stay and long stay were. Not able to pay with cash or contact less. In pouring rain had to fathom how to scan qr code, install mipermit app, add credit card details. Couldn't find details of when car park opened to pay for next day parking. Eventually worked it out. 8 am. The Grayson Perry tapestry in the Cathedral summed it up "Agony in the car park"

The guy who was checking tickets was helpful but the council really need to sort out the machines. You really need to be able to pay with your card and not have to download yet another app.
We ended up changing some cash for the correct coins in Sainsbury's

What an awful car park, rutted, potholes, restricted spaces due to works going on. Not much clarity of white lines in parking bays. Parking bays to small unless you have something like a smart car. Overpriced £9.90 for all day, what a con , no change given. We went today, most machines missing, the existing ones not taking coins, so forced to download an app so that I could pay by card.
This has to be one of the worst car parks around,its dangerous, badly lit dump and best avoided if possible.
Shame on you councillors.

Not often I give a bad review but here goes. Narrow and short spaces. Cash or app only tod pay, no contactless. Expensive pre Christmas for the day, £9.90. No walkways for pushchairs or wheelchairs, quite dangerous with vehicles looking to park or exit. Come on Salisbury, up your game.

It's a car park. It's in the right place and it's big. Sadly Wiltshire Council (and our MP) (and various developers who, presumably, stand to make big bucks) want to build on it. Wiltshire Council, safely ensconced the other side of Salisbury Plain, understand nothing about Salisbury!
