Chantries Car Park

Lovely walks from here up to St Martha's church and onto North Downs. Gets busy after 10 on weekend mornings.

This is a small and free car park with a maximum stay of 5 hours. As it's right next to Chantry Wood and also the views of Chilworth, Chinthurst Hill and St Martha's the car park gets full by 7am in the morning, so if you want to park go early. Also do bear in mind that the roads around the car park are all yellow lined or parking permits required due to the narrow roads in this area.

I've lived in Guildford for many years now and only just discovered this area. There is are hills, woods, old buildings great for walking and cycling.

Not the biggest car park in the world, but it's a good starting point for exploring the countryside around Guildford.

Quite small car park and can get very busy but it's perfect starting point to explore beautiful surroundings and poppy fields. Great, peaceful area

A good place to start your walk up to woods in chantries and St marthars hill beyond. There is a steep climb up a stepped path or a gentler incline if you take the path to the right.

Very small car park, difficult to get out of rear entrance. Go back out the way you came in, it's easier.

Handy free car park. Very close to the north downs way.
