Cathedral Parking

Parking in Salisbury Cathedral is straightforward, enter the close from the High street, North entrance, pay the parking attendant, £8 all day (updated April '22), and drive past the Cathedral to the level car park, near the southern exit.
As well as a rather nice way to support the work in and around the Cathedral, parking includes a discount for the gift shop and café.

Parking is usually quiet and only 200m from the cathedral door. It costs more than local council car parks for a short stay but you can park all day but if you use the provided vouchers for the good cathedral cafe and the shop it’s about the same as three hours elsewhere.

It is recommended to arrive early because the parking spaces are limited. The spaces were still big enough for my ford transit. Not bad prices and within walking distance of the Cathedral and shopping.

Very friendly attendants. It was £8 for the day (you can pay by card or cash), and you can leave and come back which was a bonus. They also provide you with vouchers for the cathedral cafe and shop.

A short walk to the cathedral, and from there you're basically in town if you want to go shopping.

Good placement for Cathedral and Cathedral Close access. Very friendly men at the ticket box. Only issue is price - £8 for the day. It's worth it for the ease of access, but still a bit steep. Accessible for wheelchairs, buggies, bicycles, etc. 3-5 minute walk to cathedral.

Great location, within a short walk to lots of places in town. Parking costs £8 for the whole day and you get a voucher you can use in the cathedral.

Great carpark, can't believe so many comments on how far away it is from the cathedral its 5mins walk past beautiful houses and gardens, instead of looking straight ahead look around.

Decent walk to the parking, but it’s out of the way and pretty private. It’s ideal if you’re visiting the cathedrals and the surrounding area. Couple of vouchers to use at the cathedral, we chose to use one in the cafe and grabbed an afternoon tea for two. It saved us a couple £s which made the parking a little cheaper I guess! Great view of the cathedral from the car park too.
