Lovely nature reserve. Great place for walking the dogs. It's hard to imagine that it was a colliery not so many years ago. A walk along the Five Pits Trail, of which this is a part is well worth the effort too.

Small car park by corbriggs, worth finding the bigger one.. well worth the visit. Very popular with dog walkers. Well kept, looked after, and lovely for a walk.

Muddy as anything when we went. They were doing a lot of work on the grounds and the vehicles that they were using had churned up the grass.

Really enjoy walking here with the dogs but when I tried waking round a wooded area we came across a newly fenced area and struggled to get round due to really deep mud made by a digger. Prior warning would have been appreciated..

A great mix of, woods, scrub and grassland areas with good solid tracks between entrances. Lots of other paths and seating available around the park. Easy access by foot, cycle and mobility scooter. Is a good starting point for the Five Pits Trail to Tibshelf Ponds.
