Free car park near Malham, good starting point for lots of different wants in the surrounding hills. Near the malham tarn if you want a short loop, or if you fancy something longer you can hear north towards pen-y-ghent.
Could be a bit tricky to get to if you aren't confident driving on narrow country roads.

Great car park perfectly positioned for walks to Malham Tarn or Malham Cove - or both 😁. Free as well 👍.

Free car park surrounded by beautiful nature. Enough of space. If it gets busy you can easily park next to road all the road down. No bin so bare in your mind that you need to take your rubbish with you. 5 minutes walk to the lake. Dogs need to be hold on the leads as it's lots of 🐑 🐑 there.

Get there early for a space as its free. Be warned the road to the car park is very narrow!

As carparks go, this is up there with the best of them. Flat level ground, small stone base, hard enough to stand a motorbike on without it sinking in. Sign to show your are here and outlining the walks around the lake.

Excellent little carpark with perfect links to Malham Tarn and Malham Cove. Best of all, it's free! Do take care as theres many potholes to doge. If it's full, theres plenty of spots besides the road to park, as long as your completely off the road.

When seeking the wild places there's nothing more helpful to start off a walk than a car park in the middle of nowhere.

Some pot holes to dodge, though this isn't surprising when considering its positioned in the middle of the Yorkshire Dales.

Look out for the watersink near Malham Tarn where the water disappears - it's like magic! (Photo of this great spot).

Wander on to adventure to magnificent Malham Cove (see my review on this and nearby Malham Tarn).
