Pont ar Daf Car Park

It was really nice up here in and around the parking lot, which is quite spacious but can be crowded and not easy to find a spot. The view from higher ground is amazing overlooking the parking area and the areas around it.

This parking area is a very popular place for people hiking Pen Y Fan. It does not cost to park here! We arrived around 9:30 and it was almost full. There are portable toilets there and they had a food stand with many options. Arrive early to be guaranteed a spot.

Toilet block has been demolished to make way for a new one, in its place, portable loos installed, dirty stinking ones not well maintained. Construction to expand the car parking area in progress. Car park was full at 11am

Fresh tarmac has been laid and spaces are marked by white circles, rather than bay lines.
Parking is free, but was informed by local guide that a metre will be installed soon, whereby national trust members will be able to park for free and non-members will have to pay.
Several port-a-loos on site that were slightly grubby, but what do you expect?

Quite spacious car park, nice and clean. Can't say the same about the toilets but hey, it's still great to have some on the side when you are in need ;D Two burger vans usually open. Great views and easy route up the mountain.

Only a quick stop on the way through. We were lucky enough to get parked in the car park rather than on the road. Portaloos are clean and tidy. Only wish we'd had more time to take one of the walks and properly enjoy the views.

Car park at the base of Pen Y Fan walk. Free to stay but get there early or late at night. Plenty of Portaloos onsite and a burger van (should you want it)

Can get very busy on clear days and during the season.

Lots of vans use this car park. Be considerate when parking so not to block people In.

Nice new car park being made. Efforts are appreciated for such a busy place. Let's just hope they don't start t9 charge extortionate fees.
