Great little patisserie near London's insurance district.

Real nice staff, and pastries and bread baked right there in front of you.

Perfect for breakfast, I recommend the sugar brioche, at 08:00h they are warm from the Ivan and you just can't get it fresher.

The seating area is outside but in the hall, so it can be a little cold at this time of year, but that's a good reason to have a second croissant!

Cute bakery in Leadenhall Market. It's more of a shop with a counter but there are tables and chairs outside under cover. Try The Merveilleux, a super cute meringue and whipped cream cake by Frédéric Vaucamps. Other specialities include Meringue Twists and Cramique Brioche with chocolate chips, sugar pearl, raisins or a plain version. I wrote an article for my blog so took quite a few pictures.

Delicious brioche, exactly how you'd expect from a good French bakery. People in the shop speak French, making the experience as genuine as it can get.

Can't wait to try the other specialties!

Visiting Leadenhall and hankering after coffee and cake, this was the first place we saw, so we stopped. The brioche with raisins looked so tempting that we abandoned the idea of anything else! And it didn't disappoint. The interior of the café was attractive, the staff charming, and the outdoor seating very pleasant on a mild October afternoon.

Look no further - thieve people are proud of their work and I can safely safe in 40 years searching for the perfect chocolate croissant - I’ve found it. I’m visiting London and I’ve been here every morning.
You must check this place out, everything freshly baked daily ❤️

So goood when the dark choc brioche is fresh out of the oven. Not too sweet either! Light even, tastes as if it’s good for you!

Lovely bakery-cafe, très bien! I loved everything about it. Wished there was some kind of heating as I was seated outside and it was freezing on a Friday morning. The lady who took my order was very polite and kind. I highly recommend the buns with the chocolate chips!

Unfortunately their croissant’s were sold out.. caution when ordering tea because they used tea bags only.
