Carmella Cakes - Patisserie Surbiton

Thank you for our lovely selection of pastries. They are absolutely delicious. What an amazing mixture of quality cakes and sweet treats! We will definitely be back for more!!

Ordered two cakes in separate occasions, one time pink for my baby's christening and one simple white (with nothing on) for her birthday both times they gave me a red (yes, red) cake, nothing like we have ordered. When asked To change them they were unable to fix them. Christening and first birthday ruined. Cake is good but the service is really not good at all. Would not recommend.

Delicious cakes and pastries. The only problem is how they bake banana and walnut cakes.

Ordered a cake for my birthday and I sent them photos of what I wanted the cake to look like. I turned up and I wasn’t happy at all. I was on the verge of tears of how ugly it was. It looked rushed and messy! I told her to go and fix it a bit and it didn’t help. After telling the lady I was unhappy she gave me attitude and told me I was being too sensitive! It’s my cake for my birthday, I have every right to feel how I want to feel about it.
We have been coming to Carmella for a while but I’m going to boycott my whole family from going there - just for her rude behaviour alone!
The customer should be your main priority and not to be told how they should feel.
Ridiculous. Thank you for making me hate my cake on my special day.

I saw that quite a high review rate in google. Ordered a really delicious birthday cake surprise to my girl. She is really happy and think that the cake is really great.

An incredible disappointment! looks like a homemade cake! £45 badly spent, and we got him the top caker! Terrible experience, lousy cake both in terms of aesthetics and taste! I do not recommend this bakery to anyone!!! Disgust

regret not coming in sooner! beautiful selection, all taste amazing, couldn’t fault this bakery. gorgeous looking event cakes.
the man working there was so friendly, letting us sample the pastries and even added some extra to the box free of charge. go in have a chat and get some goods! will 100% be going back! x

I can't find more delicious sweets and patisseries than this gem of a place. The selection is mouthwatering and so so tempting.The staff are also very friendly especially the sweet Saturday girl who is always so helpful and polite
