Would absolutely recommend this place! The roof art work is stunning and the view from the top is amazing. And as a Oxford student it's free so what's not to love.

Although I'm British, I'm often cynical about attractions in my own country due to the super exploitation of tourism and the promotion of any grubby corner as an "attraction".

Well, Oxford is changing my mind. The architecture of this theatre, both inside and outside, and of the town in general is stunning. Climb to the top for a great view of Oxford.

I had the privilege of attending my son's graduation ceremony from Somerville College and it was an overwhelming experience. The atmosphere, the ritual, the emotions and the whole event was impressive.

A fabulous setting, a historic ceremony, a day I will never forget for my daughters graduation.

The Sheldonian is a landmark building in Oxford, from matriculation, classical music performances and of course graduations - it is there the whole way through a student's degree. It can be visited by tourists on the inside on some days and there is a beatiful view of Oxford from the observatory at the top!

Worth the few pounds to see where students attend their graduation ceremony and to admire Christopher Wrens first ever finished architectural project. There is a bit of a view from the cupola. Fascinating to see how it was built. The painting on the ceiling is massive and I couldn't get a shot of it even with my widest angled lens so you will need to stitch a picture together or do a panorama.

Attended a concert. Relatively short. The seats within The Sheldonian seats have no backs for the most part, so you have to choose carefully. Classic venue which has a warmth.
