Sniffles Dog Grooming Spa

Sniffles is a great neighbourhood spot for dog grooming and dog sitting. The staff are incredibly friendly and professional. As a new client I was asked to fill out a form with the details of the pooch after making an appointment. The only thing that was slightly awkward was that the final price for the treatment - wash, ear cleaning, brush and nail clipping - was not provided until the end. I was expecting to be provided a price range at the time of booking the appointment. A wash, ear cleaning, brush and nail clipping for a small Patter Jack was £35.

So, we booked a service at this shop last month and it’s accessible/easy to find. The finished product wasn’t the best but just acceptable.

We gave the benefit of doubt and went again. But sadly, even after showing a picture (they took a picture as a reminder), there were hardly any similarities at all. In fact, they had shaved the hair off the legs as well, which contradict the picture by vast. We had made sure there are no knots around the legs, whatsoever so it’s a strange result.

Whilst the job seems to be heavy on the shaving buzzer, they had tried to charge us extra (£68 altogether) which is unusual after having completed a shaving job (minus the head) usually costing £40 at Russell Square/Holborn…

This place were convenient for us as we wanted to walk around Hampstead Health once in a while. However, I think we will return to Bow Wow for the unforeseen.

We booked 2 weeks in advance for shampoo and tidy and was really glad that they had a lot of options. One has sensitive skin and the other is still young and hard to bathe. Came back with clean lines, bums, ears, and paws. I live far away so it may be hard for me to visit every month but I do advice advanced booking and giving as much information on your pup as you can.🙂

Worse place to take a dog has harmed my dog and my dog is now in pain and screams when touching him he looks traumatised never had any type of pain before taking him there and just after i picked him up we couldnt touch his arm and i will claim this place.
Chinese woman took my dog and also don’t know if it was her or whoever it was groomed my dog so bad it looks terrible and way too overpriced for such bad grooming.
I’ve seen how they treat other dogs too they look like they’re doing you a big favour.
Do NOT take your dog there as their so violent with dogs.

Do not tell me how I should look after my dog , my dog was perfectly fine and suddenly has pains right after taking them back from you. Don't you dare try to accuse this on us. My dogs a Pom with long thick hair which hates to get brushed out from his leg and tail because of the pain.
I will not let my dog go through that which is why you guys could cos you were more tough on him would much rather you say you guys cannot do it.
However we can consider legal action because as you have proof I have proof aswell how my dog was before and how he was later with time and date as I will come later on with them.
As I can see not many people are happy with your grooming from reviews so I'm happy to know I'm not the only one.
Instead of telling me how to look after my dog which was perfectly fine before that, you guys should learn how to groom properly.

I never really write reviews but feel like I should here as I think some of the negative reviews are a bit unfair.

I’ve brought my dog here a few times now and they always do such an amazing job. (I have a cavapoo so a breed notorious for matting!)

He has only been shaved once and I was totally aware this was going to happen, I made the mistake of not taking him for a cut before I went on holiday so his lovely curly coat was beyond repair by the time I got home, this was my fault and absolutely not theirs.

Every other time he has come back beautiful! And the cuts only get better as I get better at maintaining and brushing him between cuts.

Sure it’s pricey but so is owning a dog also it’s located in a pricey area. I pay more for my haircuts which take half the time and I don’t need to be de-matted! If you are looking for the lidl of dog grooming in Hampstead you won’t find it.

Also, the staff are always super friendly and nice, they’ve fit me in before when around here it can be hard to find a last min booking and they were totally understanding the one time he did come in matted (I thought I’d be told off but no!)

I took Coco here for his first groom since he’s started living with me. Right from the start they put Coco first and put me at ease to leave him with them.
When I picked him up later on he was happy, very well groomed and teeth shining.
Really detailed feedback from the groomer and Coco walked away with a swagger in his step.
