We where worried because our little Sky had only spent 1 day away from us in 3 years. No need 6 days latter collected her with that familiar waggy tail

What a fab place, and staff working there, Sonja and the girls are brilliant, our 2 bulldogs have stayed for day crèche and odd overnight, but we just left them for the 1st time for a week, and due to us being nervous about this we were sent photos, videos and were welcomed to phone everyday to see how they were, highly highly recommended

I’ve had the best & worst dog grooming experience here. The first time we went a girl from the academy did it and I was really pleased with the cut. Hence we went back, the second time we went, my dog was apparently matted so was shaved to the skin. I wouldn’t of minded if that had been in the dogs best interests but the days that followed were horrendous. He had an allergic reaction that required vet treatment With antibiotics and now he has to see a behaviourist because he is so fearful of being groomed. He fine with the bath but as soon as he sees clippers or scissors, he is reactive. So all in all what should of cost 30 quid has ended up costing £100s but worse than that, my once friendly dog is now a nervous wreck. I don’t usually leave reviews but this has caused so many ongoing issues, I felt it needed to be shared. Be cautious of you have a long haired pup using this place.

**Update - further to the response from Goody 4 Paws below - I can confirm my dog is a Jack Russell cross and his name is Casper so no you wouldn’t have a record of Rach Wozere on your records as that’s obviously not my real name is it? Also, I am registered with Forest vet group and Tim has a record of Casper’s reaction to the grooming which I will be more than happy to ask him to pass along to you. You’ve also told a lie about the academy girls not grooming members of the public dog, because a young girl with brown hair (possibly called Dayna ??) definitely groomed mine - she cut it lovely, and I can look back through my bank transactions for a receipt for proof of payment if you like? I am neither jealous, nor ill, I am just leaving a review of my experience which I am more than entitled to do - what’s the point of a review page if you don’t want feedback? I find your response very disappointing and unprofessional and I hope this is not a reflection of your overall service. I will take care - I’ll take care to ensure my dog goes to a professional groomer in future! Absolutely shocked by your response.**

We took our Shih Tzu Betsi for her first proper trim. She had already been once for a puppy trim. She had a Teddy Trim and looked exactly like a teddy bear! So adorable. I took her for a walk in a park in Velindre (Cardiff) the following day, and so many people remarked on how beautiful her coat was. When I told them that Betsi had just been to the groomer’s, they all asked which one. If we had been walking local you would have been inundated! I can’t thank you enough. Betsi is always so happy, and looks amazing when she comes back.
