Pingles Pet Store

Great pet shop. Been a regular since i moved to the area. Great stock for anything to do with reptiles or arachnids.. great bioactive setup supplier... probably the best pet shop in Leicestershire. Got all these enclosures for my spiders from here.

So, had my dog for 16 months and have been going to Pingles mainly to get her Raw Food and some chews she loves. No issues out of the ordinary, the people I normally meet are lovely. I went today with my mother for more Chews and she decided to get a new harness for my doggy. After trying one on we went to the checkout to pay. The items price had changed and gone up but no-one had change the label so we asked to have the item at the lower price. From this point we received absolutely terrible customer service from one on the "managers" and why I will find an alternative shop for my pet supplies. Short version. Firstly " sorry it has been label incorrectly (mistake on their part )". We asked for them to honour the label price at which point we got " we don't have to honour the price or sell it to you ". We asked if they are going to refuse the sale to which he said no ( so why say it ) but added " some people do take the price labels of other items". He tried to back track and said " other customers ". This implied that we could have or did changed the label. This was, as with his previous statement unnecessary and saying indirectly we might or might not be thiefs is shocking to me as a customer service manager of more than 4 years. When challenged to check the cameras, he refused, so why say it in the first place, again. At this point I walked away from the door and let my mother pay. I appreciate they honoured the price but thinking it's ok talking to a customer in that way and implying they are dishonest for the sake of £8 due to their mistake is not on. N/B The lifetime valve of customers is thousands. Great customer service drives loyalty, trust and sales. Bad customer service drives...............

Had an hours basic obedience training with Gary this morning, very good session. Put into practise what we had learned straight away. Marshall likes to pull, however it didn't take him long to stop pulling with such a simple and easy to learn technique. Thank you for your help today.
Best £50 I've spent for an hour. Would definitely recommend Gary.
Now to train the kids. X

Visited a few times now, each time the staff were welcoming and approachable.
The store itself is laid out in a way that's really easy to navigate, making finding what you need a breeze. On top of this, their prices are fair aswell.

Only visited a couple of times this year, as we're not local and I have only recently discovered the place. But on those occasions I have found the staff to be very knowlegable, the store clean, tidy and very well stocked.
I will be visiting more regularly!

Love this pet store. So much on offer and the staff are lovely and very helpful and attentive.
