Pets at Home Byfleet

As a pet owner I'm a regular visitor to Pets at Home, generally the Walton branch. Popped in here for a couple of items and was impressed by the helpfulness of the staff. The only issue I have with PaH generally is their VIP club, which I simply cannot see the point of as we get no communication and there's no purchase discount that I can find.

Avoid their fish section. They do not care about their fish. The manager doesn’t care about what you advise them. They sell you sick fish which eventually die and have a poor quality life.
When I brought them back eventually they were just put back into the tanks to resell with their new batch.

Their points system is just stupid.
The workers have zero clue about what they’re doing.

This is a great Pets at Home, I have just got a miniature dachshund puppy who isn't sleeping well overnight and the staff were super helpful with tips & tricks to help him. I wish I knew the name of the 2 staff members I spoke to, as they were so lovely & would make me recommend this store so much. They were super attentive & helpful with all my queries! Also, helped me with the offers I had on my account so I ended up saving so much, every little helps!! <3

My border collie dog Harry has just had a trim and feet hair cut and nails done and it was very professionaly done by the groomers..I will certainly be bringing him back for his next grooming.

Byfleet store is great. Staff polite, respectful, helpful, friendly. Usually good stock of items, you can order, pay online and pick up from store an hour later during opening times with ease. Recommend.

The staff in here are amazing! They have lots of knowledge on every animal and really help out. I visit here all the time as it's local.

My dog had his hair cut at this store yesterday 31st August, and I've never seen such a bad cut on any dog, there's clumps of hair that's not been cut and the rest is absolutely terrible. They're obviously not a professional dog grooming service, should be ashamed of themselves. My dog is a Cavachon and they cut off all of his hair , any groomer should know how to cut the hair of any particular breed of dog.The pics are before and after. This morning I spoke to the manager and she tried to defend the guy who cut my dog's hair by blaming my dog, saying that he's not a fan of having his hair cut, which is nonsense he loves being pampered, the real problem was they used a trainee unsupervised. They have accepted my demand of giving the payment back. I was told by the store manager that the good staff that they used to have, have moved on to other stores.

Bought 2 new rats as pets for my daughter, manager was very helpful and told us all we needed to know.
