Ive used this place for many years and this used to be a 5 star pet shop now it's really not! It's gone from quality to just quantity since the new owners took over! From bugs to animals it's not the same and I'm now forced to use pets at home for better quality and that should be the opposite! Customer lost

Struggled to get staff to assist in making a purchase, getting passed between people who were too busy to make a sale, the young guy who ended up having to help didnt really seem to know about the fish he was selling.

Very disappointing as there is a good selection of fish but a lack of knowledgeable sales staff to help or provide advise

Girl who served me was unsure about letting me take 4 koi for £32 after I told her I had a 1575 galon pond and she had to go check. Also I could have walked out with anything as I spent 15min in the store with no staff in sight. Not good service.

Only just found this place as usually use SA&P in poole. Great store great animals. There really well cared for by people that know what their doing. Lovely tanks and fish for sale. Tropical,marine and cold water too. Will defo use again. Thanks.

We went in to get advice regarding bird keeping. All our questions were fully answered and more. We decided to purchase everything we needed then and there!

Animals don't look great. Especially the fish and the staff are very rude. Waited at the door 10 mins before it closes but the door was already locked and then a member of staff came to let other people out and just totally ignored me and didn't say oh sorry we are closed or even asked if he could help with something quickly etc. Avoid at all costs.

A lot better since new company took over , fish and reptiles look a lot better looked after . Only draw back is the young staff , i know everyone got to start somewhere but at least be a bit more professional in your job . If you buy any equipment open and check contents before leaving store , today has just cost me 5 hours of travelling and waiting to resolve the problem I encountered , but hopefully they will do well in future.

Been in southern aquatics several times.
Everybody tells you something different.
Went in last month to get some catfish the catfish had fell on the floor.
He left it on the floor then decided to to pick it up put it back into the tank. By then it looked dead.
They just seem to just want your money.
Please think twice about going
