Pets at Home Barry

I find the staff very friendly, caring and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. My puppy had his first groom here and the staff in there were brilliant with him and he looked gorgeous when he came out. There's a great variety of products in store and if they haven't got it they will order it for you. All in all a great shop for your pet.

Knowledgeable staff and eager to help. Wide variety of pet items available and at a reasonable price. Some deals on the fish I wanted which was good. Also a loyalty card which is always helpful.

All three of our cats are registered here and the staff are always super friendly. There have been a couple of times when I've called very last minute with a quite ill cat and both times they've managed to squeeze them in and get them sorted.

We took our cat & dog for their annual vaccinations today & the vet Simona was amazing with them both. It was lovely to see how gentle & beautifully she treated them, you can tell she loves her job & really cares about your pets which makes us really happy, thank you Simona ☺️.

I would like to mention the lovely helpful staff you have. I have a new puppy and every timeI come in , the shop assistant with long dark hair . Sorry didn't get her name . Has been amazing . Thanks again for great service. Will recommend to friends in future.

Great offers on pet food and other surplus. The wild bird food is a little on the expensive side. However, the small animal display always makes me smile.

The selves were stocked with a good selection of food toys and treats, everything was quite tidy and they had some rescue rabbits which is always adorable.

Love this shop!!!! It's very rare we visit and we are unable to find what we need, and if it's not on the shelf the staff are always there to ask and look out in the stock room, or check stock of other branches.

My daughter and I went in to buy some new stones and aqua soil for the plants in our new tropical fish displays at home, but before we even got to the aisle for all this we were greeted by the cat toy aisle right by the entrance- lethal in my eyes- but boy did we get a few brilliant bargains 😂🥰 We have 2 cats who love to scratch, thankfully not the furniture but the amazing scratch pads and beds and a whole range of now new added pieces that reside in our home for said cats !!! All reduced by almost half price but you have to be there to grab them quick as we were lucky enough to get next to last items on the shelf (as said above, they may have more out back, just ask, the staff are super helpful).

We were then caught up buying Christmas presents for my older son's and hus partners new kitten- just an amazing choice to choose from !!! And with an offer of 4 for proce of 3 items on the little individual cat toys, well, we ended up filling the nearby counter as my daughter's arms were quickly piling up with too many goodies for our beloved feline family members 😀 🥰, they after all are equally as important!!! Now, I'm not sure how long many of the offers go on for so get in there quick to Grab a massive bargain!!
We were then taken aback by the beautiful rabbit waiting for her forever home- unfortunately I'm not a lover of rabbits, or guinea pigs or hamsters etc, but she really is beautiful and I believe if memory serves me right an indoor rabbit who loves children- she was certainly very friendly and relaxed- always a good sign especially when on a staycation shall we say at pets at home- and you can tell the staff love everything about looking after any animal- her bedding was clean, she looked amazing and happy too- I really hope that when we visit again next week that she has been given that chance of a forever home 🏡 ❤️, honestly, if I didn't have an aversion of rabbits we would currently have her here with us and this review would be a completely different write up!!! So come on people- let's have her rehomed for Christmas 🎄 !!!!

The fish are always beautiful kept in lovely clean tanks, the water is always sparking and there's never any dead fish in the tanks- always a very good sign in our eyes (we are seasoned keepers so know what to look for before anyone questions me!!)

The store is always clean and tidy, staff are always helpful even when it's busy, we love it here !!!!
