Pets at Home Merthyr Tydfill

Great store, been good few times. Went today and as always Very helpful staff with advice on pets, and product enquiry with pre-ordering extra cat litter which currently strugling to get in due to Ukraine war but have managed to take our contact details so as to order some in for us.
Store itself is spotless and easy to find what you need with plenty of choice ranging from cheaper to better quality products and pet dietry needs.

It have a reasonable amount of stock items to purchase. You can buy guinea pigs and rabbits, fish also here with food like locusts for reptiles. They have reasonable prices, fair and not too expensive. They also have vets on first floor above ground, and dog grooming care. Only problem concerning is, you normally get no help if you ask a non serving till member situated on ground near main entrance door. Sometimes who ever this is just tell you sorry, go and ask one of our colleagues stocking the shelves and they should be able to help. Other than this issue, it is alright place to shop at if you running low on anything.

Amazing place to go for your pet. We recently took our dog to get his nails clipped as he has a genetic disease where his nails grow rapidly and are painful. He does not like anyone going near his paws. But these managed it! I have never been so impressed before by how caring, calming and professional as these. 1000000% recommended!

Very poor with fish accessories filters, gravel, sand, plants, wood and their knowledge of fish is joke they say you put fish in tank the next day you set it up.

Went in for fish,not impressed with customer service,,very curt and condescending,price tag said 3 for £12 and when I asked I was told all Indivdualy priced for Betta Splendens? Always had great service in the past

Satisfies all my canine needs, and normally have plenty of Mario's for my exotics, when other suppliers out of stock.

Amazing shop but this is mainly the staff that works there! Ever since I had this puppy they all loves him and are very helpful. They are willing to speak to you and about your dog/puppy and will help you get the best food/brush etc and even show you where they are in the store. Very good customer service and never had one problem with these guys! They can also have a laugh and a general conversations, You can not go wrong with Merthyr pets at home! They will answer all the questions you got for them and even explain how and why etc. I even just go in now and hand my phone to them at the tills for the vouchers and VIP and they say what they done

Fab, we visited the groom room there for our puppies first groom. She looks adorable and didn't stop wagging her tail. She definitely deserved a new toy to add to her collection. Booked her in for next month too x x
