Meurig Kennels

We found the kennels online, based on the reviews on their website, and driving for 188 miles (nearly 4hrs) we chose a lovely little Westie puppy from a little litter of 3, born on 13th March. We of course took lots of photos at the time (at 6weeks old), and as it came nearer to us coming back to bring him home, Ray sent us photos/video. The puppy was visibly very different from the one we had chosen, so Ray apologised. The following day (15th May, 3days before were going to drive back and pick up our chosen Westie), we had a phone call from Ray, telling us that the three puppies had been killed by an adult Westie getting into the pen. I was absolutely devastated. We decided a couple of days later to find another kennels (near Canterbury), this time registered with the kennel club, and we now have a beautiful little Westie 'Haggis'. We still miss 'Zoso' and I hope that Ray was just telling us a story (horrible as it was), to sell the puppies at a higher price than we were paying.
Looking at the reviews left on their website, two Westies were apparently sold in May.
So my hopes of the litter not actually being killed, seems to be true thankfully, as there was only one litter for sale in May from Ray.
I cannot, in all faith, recommend this kennels.

Bought my westie almost 8 months ago. Going by positive feedback and unable to collect myself i had him delivered. I also paid extra to have him KC registered which i was told would take a few weeks for papers to arrive.
Upon delivery there was no pedigree, birth info, nothing really personal to my puppy except a vet card with no date of birth.
Have phoned Ray many times since to find out where his paperwork and KC papers are and every time have been promised he would send them and 8 MONTHS later, still nothing.
My westie arrived with severe digestive issues and he had a bad case of worms, allergies to the recommended food and resulted in a lot of weight loss. A few other issues along the way but now he is showing signs of hip/leg problems.
I am now very concerned about his breeding and Rays sketchy avoidance.

Picked up our second Westie from Meurig Kennels - first one is now 11 years old! We returned to Meurig Kennels because of the quality service and advice provided by Ray ... And you know you are going to get a good dog from here.

Was great to meet Ray yesterday and our new puppy who is thriving and will be the perfect addition to our family. I was so impressed with the kennels and how well the puppies were cared for. We got to meet mum too and Ray spent a good amount of time chatting with us and explaining things. I feel assured we have made a good decision and it was worth travelling from Lancashire to Wales.

I choose my little West Highland Terrier in March. Ray sent me photos of him and made sure he kept me updated all the time. I travelled up from Dorset to collect our little Benji, so worth it. Ray is brilliant, looks after his dogs well and gives you all the information you could possibly need. My puppy came vaccinated and microchipped, full of beans and was a healthy little soul. Highly recommend Ray; he knows what he’s talking about and provides the best Westies!

We picked up Buddy our Westie in October 2019 and we have waited till now to write our review to check everything was OK.
Well,Buddy is now 9 months old and he is a very loving puppy in very very good health.

Picked up our little westie last week, she is so cute. Ray was very helpful and informative, lovely clean kennels, and happy dogs , it was well worth the journey.😊

Ordered a female westie and paid the deposit to find out he had the litter mixed up? and there were no girls left available doesn't sound like to me he knows what he is doing to me. I would never purchase from Ray and did not find him very forth coming over text. Very disappointed in this service!!!
