Barkerhouse Pharmacy

Very poor service this morning. Pharmacy was empty when I arrived. 3 members of staff saw me waiting but no-one acknowledged. Granted they were busy making up prescriptions and answering the phone, but someone should be manning the desk and a simple acknowledgment would have been courteous! I waited a good 10 minutes before finally giving up and walking out.

I visited on a Saturday to have my vaccine which was great as I wasn’t sure if I’d find an open pharmacy willing to give my jab on a Saturday! The pharmacist was so helpful and also gave me advice on a personal problem which I was worried about. I felt she listened and didn’t judge. Will use this pharmacy again when I’m in the area.

The pharmacy worker wanted me to pay for the medicine that the doctor dispensed for free. Over 20 minutes of waiting where the other staff members do nothing. They walk around laughing out loud... embarrassing...🤢

Today myself and two others attended Barkerhouse Pharmacy for PCR tests we were treated in a professional courteous and very efficient manner.
Later this evening I became unsure whether I had given the correct e.mail address feeling stressed I e.mailed the Pharmacy with my e.mail address to check. I am so grateful they responded very quickly I would 100 per cent recommend this Pharmacy

Made an appointment here, via the NHS app.
When I arrived, a few minutes early, there were 4 people waiting ahead of me, even so my visit to this pharmacy lasted less than ten minutes.
The vaccinator was very professional, and courteous.
The pharmacy was very clean, and the waiting area was well organised.
A very pleasant experience.

Great chemist but can take on more than they can manage

Dreadful service- If i am going to book an appointment through GOV.UK for a covid jab at 1.35pm, then i expect to be seen at that time, i don't have the time to be waiting around 20 minutes late when i have other appointments that need attending to! Just because it is a walk in clinic, shouldn't mean that someone who has booked an appointment should not be prioritised, rather they should be seen at their designated time - i have had difficulty with this pharmacy before when they have had the audacity to change my appointment times to suit their needs. It's absolutely hypocritical.

I also came across a very rude entitled staff member, who clearly saw me waiting at the till, but decided to look the other direction asking people if they've been served, when the most logical thing would be to approach the person who is directly standing at your desk.

i doubt anything will be done at this pharmacy since clearly nobody cares, and i don't want a fake apology and promise because there's no need since i won't ever be coming to this pharmacy again

Absolutely shocking service, very ignorant staff and extremely rude lady pharmacist, can't even get a prescription right not just once but twice now.
It is over 3 weeks now since the owner contacted me as he wanted to look at cctv footage about the way I was treated and assured me he would be back in contact within the week, I'm still waiting I guess he doesn't like what he's seen. I now use a much friendlier pharmacy. STILL WAITING FOR REPLY AS I DON'T WANT TO SET FOOT IN THE PLACE
