Rowlands Pharmacy Gosport

I popped in today for a little advice for lingering flu symptoms - it is my 11th day of illness and I was looking for some advice as to what if anything I could do to help me get back on my feet. Well, I couldn’t believe how rude the pharmacist was. I explained to the counter assistant who spoke to the pharmacist over their counter - the pharmacist didn’t even acknowledge me .She told the counter assistant in a very offhand manner that it is a virus and can last for weeks. The counter assistant asked her if there was anything I could take, again, she didn’t even look at me , and told the counter assistant Paracetamol and fluids. I don’t know what she thought I had been taking up to now but it wouldn’t take a rocket scientist to know that after 11 days I would probably have taken my fair share of Paracetamol and Ibuprofen! I was astounded by her attitude as the advice across the board is to consult your pharmacist if you need advice.
I only hope that the elderly or vulnerable members of our community are treated with a little more respect and care than I was.

Usually have to wait a while even if the prescription was handed in over a week previously. But then they are busy, and if you listen to some of the ramblings of customers to the staff, its no wonder they are behind and flustered. Some people cannot think for themselves and it takes time to get through to them - take a look at some of the scenarios from the reviewers for example. It really is no worse than any other pharmacy, and loads better than some.

Sorry but i hate going in here. I moved to a chemist farther away because of the lack of customer service in here. I have been stood as i was the other day at the counter with no other customer there and staff came and called out those names waiting for prescriptions, completely ignoring my existence. One member of staff handed over a prescription to a chap and he wanted some razors, she served him but couldn't work the till, then walked back and didn't even say a word to me. I am disgusted and this is a regular occurrence.

Fairly officiant. Some members of staff can be very rude and abrupt. Well stocked with some good bargains.

I've always found the team very helpful tbh.
They always give good customer service and provide useful advice.

Very long queue and no-one acknowledges that customers are waiting. To be fair though, very friendly when I spoke to someone!

I have been waiting 3 weeks for my Naproxen & I am in a lot of pain. I have called 3 times and marked as urgent but to no avail. It is the same woman who answers the phone every time but has a serious attitude problem & blatantly is not sending my meds. I wish I’d read previous reviews before starting here. I am 74 years old & am practically housebound. This is a disgraceful lack of care. The surgery next door is by comparison extremely polite & efficient. They must be very embarrassed to be next door to that uncaring lot.
