Visiting London for a trip to a West End show we discovered my husband had forgotten to pack his Fostair inhaler and was starting to having difficulties with his breathing, we went into the first chemist we came across (Boots) and explained our situation, the Pharmacist informed us we would need to get our Doctor to email the prescription to the shop before she would dispense it, however our Doctor explained they don't do that and the Chemist should provide an emergency in this situation, the Pharmacist disagreed and stated she was under no obligation to do that, she was rude and abrupt and was of no help in a delicate situation. On leaving the shop we happened into this wonderful Chemist. The Pharmacist could not have done more to be of help to us. She had the prescription made up and handed over to my husband within 5 mins. I cannot express my thanks for the very professional, considerate manner in which we were treated, a very stark contrast to the way Boots had treated us, Thank you

Excellent, efficient service from pharmacist and staff. Went to three other pharmacies that could not help me but this pharmacy confidently said they could order my items for next day collection. I was really impressed.

Rude staff who will treat you with an odd mix of disdain and condescension. Why anyone would come here is a mystery not even Holmes himself could solve.

As you may all remember, it was a record-breaking 41C in London this past Tuesday. I had to go in to central for massage treatment for a recently slipped disc, and after that, a dental appointment.

Once both my appointments had finished, I thought I would drop into a nearby pharmacy on the way home for some pain relief as I now did not intend to leave the house for the foreseeable future to allow my back to recover etc.

Google Maps said this pharmacy was the closest one on my way to the station so I popped in.

I asked the staff - a lone middle aged woman sequestered off in the corner of the shop right at the back (highly doubt she is a pharmacist and if she is, her license ought be brought into question) for some Nurofen Plus. She refused to sell me the more economically viable pack citing that it was “prescription only”. I told her this wasn’t true. She just kept shaking her head and said it was. I asked for her to please show me on the box where it states it is prescription only. She refused. She refused because she was lying to me for some bizarre power trip, evidently.

I made mention that I had just seen my massage therapist and he recommended NP to me, and I’m 100% certain that were it prescription only, he obviously would have written a script because he’s not a moron (besides, I had bought some about 6 months prior at a boots and was asked at that time which size I preferred. Ironically at the time I chose the smallest one, but I digress!).

She then said I would need to go back to my massage therapist for him to write me a script?! Utterly insane.

All turned out for the best, though, as I followed google maps and after about a 2 minute walk up the street, landed at Boots and received excellent service (plus a nice cold bottle of water for my troubles). I also wanted to ask for some pharmacist advice and they really helped me🥰 GO BOOTS! 😄

in closing: as nice as it is to want to help out smaller pharmacies over the big brands, sometimes you just have to let them learn the hard way.

As such, I can say with certainty: don’t bother with Sherlock Holmes pharmacy. It’s now at least no mystery to me why the reviews are as low as they are.

I visit the pharmacy to buy spray that could help with my blocked nose, the man behind the counter just point to the shelf near the counter. Then we ask which one is better and how to use it, he said just read it yourself. We just pay and go. Thinking maybe that guy too tired to answer our questions.

This is the second time I have been into Sherlock Holmes pharmacy and both times the staff were so so helpful, patient and understanding.
They even demonstrated how to use the special air flosser.
I highly recommend this pharmacy.
I travel from Harrow specially, even though I have many local pharmacies and I am disabled.

Consistently the best pharmacy I've been to in London. Always has prescriptions, even when there are city-wide shortages. Highly recommended.

The staff has been incredibly helpful and polite. I always appreciate the personal nature to the service and instructions.

My favourite pharmacy in the area. Competitively priced but it is the care of the staff that makes this place truly deserving of 5 stars. The lead pharmacist is incredibly helpful and all of the staff care about your treatment.

I’ve rarely used this pharmacy for some time as I moved away. However, I have popped in a few times recently. They have always been courteous and helpful but the last time was outstanding! I was greeted warmly as ever and looked after not only efficiently but with kindness and understanding. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
