Boots Pharmacy

There were four members of staff serving when I went to collect my prescription and despite a bit of a queue, I was seen quickly and efficiently. The staff who spoke to me were polite and courteous and my prescription took no more than five minutes to be made up.

This branch of Boots is next to a large doctors surgery and as a result is always likely to be busy. The staff working there deserve credit for dealing with large numbers of prescriptions and people who can sometimes (for whatever reasons) appear ungrateful.

I am amazed at reading some of the customer reviews on this Chemist/Pharmacy.
I have had cause to use their services on 4 or 5 occasions and have found them on each of my visits to be helpful chatty and efficient.
I would suggest sometimes if staffing levels are low for what ever reason and the staff may be feeling the pressure and struggling to keep up.
Be pleasant give them a smile and pass the time of day, remember they are doing the general public a service, we all have off days, yes even reviewers.

Apart from some of the staff the place is a shambles five people in a que will have you waiting at least half an hour, they will not answer the phone (ever) the only time I got through I asked if there was a que after finishing speaking to them, and the women told me to stop being so lazy and check myself.

Absolute shambles. Can't seem to organise correct repeat prescription. Can never get through on the phone to chase or query anything.

The phone rings forever, unbelievable no matter how many times you try they never pick up their phone. Wuuu what a service

There is no sense of serving a customer waiting to collect a prescription. It took over 10 minutes to collect my husbands item with just one person ahead of me.
Then it’s “I’ll be with you in a minute”I confirm the address and post code watching the lady checking it in front of me . As I left she called me back to tell me to check the label is correct! I had enough hanging around . I replied I had watched her check it and was then told it was policy for me to check. It was a Bossy experience and one without any concern. Before I was served she told someone to leave as only 2 people were allowed in the shop. If she had got my prescription and handed it out quickly there would have been no need for the stroppy attitude with others. I have had pleasant experiences with a dark haired friendly girl previously but will probably be changing pharmacy now.

Staff are fantastic: always utterly professional and very helpful offering excellent advice. A joy to be seen by them and they are very busy. Some patients might like to Reflect that it is the Pharmacists responsibility to interpret complex instructions and this sometimes takes time plus checking etc. It can’t be rushed and it’s so we get the correct drugs. I light a candle for them after my visits: they are helping keep me alive !

Treated like family by these wonderful people. The faces may change and the names and the ethnicity as well. But the hearts to do the right thing for me and so many other customers and patients of Swan Surgery make me feel a warmth for this particular shop. Perhaps it is me but I suspect these lovely women and men just care about the people they are trying so hard to serve. Five stars is only fair and at moments not enough. Ya'll just trust this ole boy bout these wonderful people!
