5 minutes waiting before being acknowledged by any of the three staff. Another few minutes before someone actually came up to serve. Had come in to collect a shortage from the previous week, supposedly in stock 2 days ago. Another wait while they tried to find the item then another 10 minutes while someone went to the other shop to find the item.
What a way to run a business!!
Glad I normally use Hobbs just down the road

An awful service. I work full time and transport down to the pharmacy takes time and money. I've had poor experiences at this pharmacy before where prescriptions which should have been there were not. As a result I was told to call before travel to make sure my prescription was there.

On this occasion I have tried calling 14 times over the last 3 days to check. The phone has not been answered once. So I have risked it and travelled down only to find a peice of paper blue tacked in the window saying they've closed early. I'm young and able. This is a huge frustration for me. The impact this service would have on those less able than myself would be far more than a frustration.

I echo the comments made by others. The worst pharmacy I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. Prescriptions are put in over a week, even two weeks in advance but when you go are never ready to collect. Usually made to queue outside partly due to COVID and partly due to such long queues as the service is worse than slow. Despite several staff they are unable to open during lunchtime and will shoo you out or lock the door on the queue you have been waiting in. Should be zero stars and Head Office should be aware as a new team is needed or it should be shut down and replaced with a proper pharmacy!

Ultra helpful; these guys are on it! Even spoke to my local chemist during my second home stay for my metformin medication repeat. Lloyd's are lifesavers - small can definitely be beautiful! Parking is seconds up Elm Grove.

*Amending my review.
As they are now regularly answering the phone. Still very friendly.
Hardly ever, get through by phone*.
Otherwise friendly and do their very best under very busy circumstances.

I do not like to write negative things about any business, but this really needs to be resolved by management or owners. The arrogance, dismissive attitude of staff to old people and general lack of customer care is appalling. I have seen old people confused, frustrated and spoken to in such a condescending way and there is no need for it at all. The customers pay the salaries of the employees and they should respect that. Be polite, be kind and help customers quickly and efficiently. You are there to serve the customers who pay you for the service and products. Lose the attitude, arrogance and start to act in a more professional manner. Had I not seen this and experienced it many times, I would not write this. I feel so sorry for the elderly who get treated in that way. Be nice...its costs nothing. To see 3 staff and not one even looking up to serve an old person is not acceptable. Where is the management who trains the staff ??? Is it staff, is it management or is it owners at fault....maybe a combination of all three...Shame as it does not have to be this way.

I would always hope to receive some kind of service that attempts to be professional, despite the obvious difficulties in running a service in such underwhelming premises.
However my recent experiences with this pharmacy are that there is little concept of customer care, let alone any duty of care to patients, and the staff often appear to be too busy to do such mundane tasks as serve customers in a timely, responsible manner, without being dismissive or patronising.
To happen on one occasion would be unacceptable, but understandable depending upon circumstance, but it would appear that on each of several occasional visits over the past few months, a similar attitude has applied.
I am taking the matter further with Lloyds Head Office, and indeed with the relevant professional bodies, but in the mean time I would suggest, along with, I notice, other contributors, that another local pharmacy should be used instead.
A 'one star' review is far too generous, but unfortunately nothing lower.
Please get a grip, Lloyd's!

Awful, to start with all they do is talk to one another behind the counter and make you wait unnecessarily. And they do not take refunds "as the medicine you brought has left the premises" so what is the point of give customers receipts?
