Now that the Lloyds branch in Elm Grove has closed permanently, all their other branch prescriptions have transferred here. They operated in a whirlwind of chaos before the other branch closed. Now it's just rediculous - they appear unable to find anything and the queues are long. Phoning them to see if your prescription ready is pot luck. Sometimes they pick up, other times not. If they pick up then you can wait upto 10 minutes while they find out.... all the time continuing their inappropriate conversations (use the mute button ladies if you must continue your banter!). They've still got the sign on the door window advising only 2 people allowed in at a time even though they relaxed that rule a few months ago. Tried taking an emergency prescription in yesterday afternoon to be told the wait time will be over an hour. I ended up driving off the island to another pharmacy in Havant where they managed to fulfill my prescription with a 5-10 minute wait. Seriously they need a competent manager in the store who can proactively order in medications that the doctors on the island are prescribing on a regular basis so that repeat prescriptions can be fulfilled without delay. Fed up with the IOU tickets that they haven't got enough stock. They could also hire in at least another assistant to get the queues moving a bit quicker. To anyone who is able to get their prescriptions elsewhere, I'd recommend doing so as Lloyds Pharmacy are currently doing Hayling residents a complete disservice.

Most unhelpful bordering on rude Chemist. Used countless pharmacies in the UK and overseas and this is easily the worst Ive experienced. Needed heart related prescription tablets that were delayed buy GP - No help whatsoever.

Iv moved here 5 months ago, I am yet to have a positive successful experience with this pharmacy, I rang to ask if they sold optrex soothing eye drops 10 ml, really specific information, yes I have those here, (she even went and checked) but we don’t reopen until 15.00, fair enough, only to be told the lady who gave me the information has gone home and we can’t find them (sorry). The place reeks of incompetence, not to mention the 5 people in front of me experiencing similar issues.

**UPDATED**

If witnessing an octogenarian, who is clearly already stressed due to her spouse’s poor health, being reduced to tears by uncaring, insensitive, dismissive and incompetent staff is your thing get yourself down to Lloyds Pharmacy on Station Road…if not AVOID at all costs!

I have been using this chemist since the beginning of the year and have tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and cut them some slack due to the pandemic but, after months of poor service and then going in on Friday, witnessing the above, as well as other customers being treated poorly and then being messed about when trying to collect my prescription…I felt it was time to write an honest review…I will also be contacting the Head Office to highlight this disgrace!

This is the worst chemist I have ever used, they are as described above, at best…at worst they are negligent and a potential danger to the public! Due to things I have witnessed and my own experiences I would offer the following advice if selecting this place as your nominated pharmacy…

- Order your medication well in advance
- DO NOT expect ordered medication the be ready or in stock when you go to collect, even several days after ordering
- DO NOT expect them to have everything on your prescription
- DO NOT trust them , check your medication before leaving the shop
- DO NOT expect them to be open at the times advertised, they close early on a whim
- Plan to spend an hour, at least, waiting for your prescription to be filled, even when you ordered days before
- Do expect to see at least one customer reduced to tears by the rudeness and/or incompetence

UPDATE- I registered with Lloyds Direct’s free delivery service…it took 5 minutes to download the app, register, add my regular meds and place an order. Later the same day payment was requested following the prescription being sent to them from GP. This was Monday, meds arrived, all present and correct, today (Friday)…no 1 hour wait in the chemist only to be told they either aren’t available or they will be ready in another 45 minutes!! I highly recommend it…perhaps if those of us who can order online use this service it may make the experience of this awful place more bearable for the those who are unable to order online 😉

The service in this store is dire. If I could give zero stars I would. You now have to wait TWO WEEKS for a prescription!

Why can't they use the times they close early to catch up? They shut every day now for lunch between 1 and 2 and they close early on weekdays at 5. Christ only knows what time they close on Saturdays; I've just been round at 2.50pm and the shutters are already down!

SUGGESTION
Close this store and the other small store, merge the two teams of staff and reopen the big store. Surely this would make not just better business sense but also helps the forever ageing population of the Island!

The staff on the till just, don't work? I waited for 10mins whilst the only staff member of 4 who would serve chatted to a customer/friend. Queue of 8 people outside the store waiting in the rain but nothing could convince any staff member to actually serve anybody.

It's laughable. There is a sign saying be kind in the queue because they certainly won't serve you!!!
