Jhoots Pharmacy

This is my local pharmacy, it was nice when I got to know the pharmacist and they were always polite and knew you as soon as you entered, unfortunately now there are new people. The service is as good but occasionally some medications haven't been supplied and you have to go back, hopefully this will be improved. The pharmacy is small and has recently undergone a refurbishment, the counter now takes up a complete side and is L shaped. You used to be able to look at and touch and buy products but most are behind the counter. This has all happened since covid. The pharmacy in my opinion is now becoming more a book online medications and collect from there than a traditional pharmacy. The few shelves which a customer can actually look and touch products are usually bare or very few items at sometimes reduced prices.
Staff are friendly and the pharmacists are knowledgeable but they do seem always busy, and I have heard other customers having problems with their medication requests. Hopefully teething problems will be ironed out and hopefully a regular pharmacist will actually stay and they can get to recognise their regular customers.

After 8 long weeks of waitng for the pharmacy to get my items and being told "the doctors hadn't sent my prescription", despite it being electronically delivered, they knowingly gave me the wrong item! When I called to let them know they admitted they knew it was wrong, they couldn't get my prescription so got something they thought was close to it! Had to call the doctors to get my prescription sent to another pharmacy. Whist in there I witnessed another member of staff rudly talking to another customer. They also never answer the phone and strangely have no medicine in when they are approaching their lunchtime closure.

Really rubbish chemist. The manners n customer service never seem to improve.
Several occasions prescriptions are part fulfilled either gone missing or to wait delivery.

Shocking experience the assistant argued, spoke over me when asked about the remaining meds. Questioned why it taken me so long to follow it up. I explained tried calling but calls were unanswered. She challenged me again - well If she wants to pay my salary for already missed work to call them would be great! She went to reply that she is the one who answers the phone and then 2/3mins later once calmer told me the phones had been really busy and the pharmacist had left her on her own.
She then asked me what meds were fulfilled, what meds were to be fulfilled, what I ordered and when. Surely they should have this info not the customer! Said meds aren’t fulfilled all the time n it needs to be looked into. Elderly not receiving meds is a risk and need it on time, any missing means they go without.
She did give me the missing meds but she had no idea what was prescribed or what was left! I very much hope this doesn’t impact the next prescription being received.

I would really like to know the regulatory body as this chemist need to check their processes, worrying where meds aren’t delivered as given by the gp.
Steer clear of this chemist, no answering phones, non existence customer service, not always open, had blokes taking drugs in their car park.

I cannot recommend this shop to anyone. This is not a pharmacy, it is a terrible joke.
You wait for a prescription to be honoured days on end, cause their distribution contractors are coming from space.
I was waiting for a baby formula 2 days, promised I would have it today at midday. Went there, the shop was closed for lunch time (1 hour!!! - ridiculous). When it opened, I found out the formula was not there and would come tomorrow. Seriously?!
I could not refrained myself shouting in despair (cause the employees capacity of understanding is towards 0) and took the prescription back.
The prescription was honoured by a nearby pharmacy in 15 min, without any fuss.
I will not step in that bin again.

Fat lady with glasses has no respect whatsoever very rude and doesn’t know what she’s talking about

The staff always confused and lack of knowledge. Never find the prescription and always make you difficult time. Not helpful at all. My Gp sent them a prescription and they always say we don’t have it! Not professional at all! I’m going to change my pharmacy! For some reason the pharmacy keep changing the staff all the time and they don’t know anything at all. Avoid of this pharmacy if you don’t want headaches !!!!

Absolute bad experience, I had recently started a job role in this pharmacy, and the staff back chat amongst themselves, if you think about working here I strongly advise you don't, the working environment isn't great when I had started there had been a leakage in the roof and it had been there for a while, the management team are unresponsive, some staff members are highly disrespectful, they lack a sense of communication and understanding, I had been disrespected towards my own personal health problems and felt absolutely discriminated in my own given work environment, therefore I happily resigned.. the prescription service is highly unorganised and therefore prescriptions are not found on time, the phone line does work however they choose to not answer it on purpose, leading to difficult customers. I do not suggest this pharmacy as I have seen the ins and outs of it.
