My friend encouraged me to come along to my first boot camp session with Mike. I was afraid! I would be the fat bird and wouldn't fit in, I would be humiliated by the fact I couldn't even lift my body to plank!! As anxious I felt my body wasn't going to change unless I took the first step...
I started with the aim to loose weight, but after a few months now I feel I've achieved much more... The biggest achievement is my confidence, the realisation that I can make changes. I no longer feel lethargic and have noticed a change in my stamina. Initially I found some of the exercises challenging but now I can see and feel an improvement each week.
The boot camp provides me with a variety of training in a relaxed, non-judgemental atmosphere, where everyone is focused on achieving their own goals... with Mikes expertise he will tailor routines to suit individual needs. Mike is supportive and encouraging within the sessions providing me with the confidence that I can succeed with the right mindset and support.
Having lost 4 stone my own way, I needed help to tone and focus on areas which needed the most attention and a friend recommended Mike. I'm not going to lie and say it's been brilliant because it's not been. somedays I've not felt like it, not been in the best moods or felt really unmotivated but Mike gets to know you and how you deal with situations and gets you motivated and works you hard even when you feel like you aren't. He's so good at what he does and how he keeps you going and above all he doesn't compare you to other people, he focuses on what it is that you want to focus on. He will push you somedays to the point where you feel you cant take anymore, but he gently encourages you and before you know it youve done something you didn't think you could. He's a great guy. friendly, helpful and dedicated. don't be scared to take that first step, I did and I'm feeling like a different person. 👍
I've been training with Mike 1 to 1 for about a month now and I look forward to each session (even knowing that I'll be unable breathe/speak/walk for most of the time - in a good way!). He's picked up on my bad habits and is slowly helping me improve my form where needed and work on the areas I'm lacking in. He pushes me where I need it and because his studio is fully equipped and the exercises are varied and challenging.
Couldn't really ask for more.
I was looking for somewhere more local to where I usually went and a friend has started going so thought I'd give it a go.
He is really friendly, easy going and helpful. Showing you how to do exercises the correct way, encouraging when you are struggling, making adjustments when needed.
I moan every week about one thing or another and I come out feeling on top of the world. As well as my exercise its also my therapy 😃
