I broke my ankle and had been in a cast for 6 weeks, it was a struggle to walk properly after the cast was removed, and the pain didn’t decrease after a week.

Physiotherapy was not offered when I was discharged from Chesterfield Royal, and there was a few weeks waiting to be able to get physio via GP referral. I decided to try private physio as I just wanted to get back to normal as soon as possible.

I noticed that the pain was less intense after one session with Ted, which gave me the opportunity to do more challenging exercises. After 6 sessions and 7 weeks, I can walk almost as good as I used to be (but cannot run properly yet).

Ted is a very experienced professional, he is very encouraging, patient and most of all he is very enthused with his work, it will be hard to find anyone more experienced and qualified than Ted.

For someone like me who never broke any bones, the recovery time can be quite challenging as the leg did not become normal overnight - patience, diet, exercise and determination are keys for a speedy recovery, and professionals like Ted provide valuable help both physically and mentally.

I thoroughly enjoyed the treatments with Ted and I could not recover so quickly without his help. Please pay Ted a visit if you are looking for a physiotherapist, he works late afternoons and Saturdays, really suits busy working people.

After suffering from extremely painful back and hip pains since November, it was like a miracle cure after just one session with Jim Wright. He was extremely professional and informative. I shall continue to use this clinic and highly recommend.

I can highly recommend Andy who was my appointed physiotherapist following a left total knee replacement in November 2019. Had another physiotherapist for my previous right TKR in August 2019 and the difference is significant - the treatment, hands on approach, advice and help from Andy has been outstanding.

I was highly impressed with the service I received from Andy Clark at Saltergate Physiotherapy Clinic. He provided me with all the knowledge, rehabilitation exercises and confidence to get back to running after being unable to walk due to an overuse knee injury.
With the clinic being closed due to coronavirus at the time, all of my appointments were virtual, which we both found to be an easy and convenient way of communicating. As a competitive runner, I found Andy's knowledge of running to be particularly useful when discussing training schedules and running-specific exercises to incorporate, as well as his understanding of my keenness to return to exercise.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this service and will not hesitate to go back in the case of any further niggles.

Thrilled to be back running again after a hip injury with the expert help from Andy. He is incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to  running and is clearly passionate about the recovery of his clients. Andy created a personalised plan for me with exercises tailored towards improving my trail running. His approach was both genuine and professional and I can't recommend him more!

After 12 weeks of crippling back pain and 2 visits to an Osteopath I found Saltergate Physiotherapy Clinic. My therapist is Jim and after just 2 sessions I am able to walk pain free and enjoy gardening again. The relief of being pain free is indescribable unless you have experienced long term back problems. Jim is extremely professional and explains what he is doing throughout the treatment. He has a good sense of humour which helped me to relax and answered any questions I had no matter how insignificant they may seemed to him. I hope that if you are looking for a physiotherapist you find my review helpful and give the clinic a call, I highly recommend them.

I had ORIF surgery for R fractured tib and fib in Jan. My physio at the hospital was cancelled after only one session due to lockdown in late March. So glad I found Andy at Saltergate physio. His Zoom physio sessions during lockdown were a lifeline for me. I developed a chronic pain syndrome on top of all this. Andy went above and beyond to help me, writing supportive letters to my GP and orthopaedic consultant to help me get treatment for this. His calm, considerate and thoroughly professional opinion was invaluable to me and kept me going with my rehabilitation during a very difficult time for me. My sincere thanks to you Andy. I couldn't have got through it without you.
