Physiotherapy was not offered when I was discharged from Chesterfield Royal, and there was a few weeks waiting to be able to get physio via GP referral. I decided to try private physio as I just wanted to get back to normal as soon as possible.
I noticed that the pain was less intense after one session with Ted, which gave me the opportunity to do more challenging exercises. After 6 sessions and 7 weeks, I can walk almost as good as I used to be (but cannot run properly yet).
Ted is a very experienced professional, he is very encouraging, patient and most of all he is very enthused with his work, it will be hard to find anyone more experienced and qualified than Ted.
For someone like me who never broke any bones, the recovery time can be quite challenging as the leg did not become normal overnight - patience, diet, exercise and determination are keys for a speedy recovery, and professionals like Ted provide valuable help both physically and mentally.
I thoroughly enjoyed the treatments with Ted and I could not recover so quickly without his help. Please pay Ted a visit if you are looking for a physiotherapist, he works late afternoons and Saturdays, really suits busy working people.
With the clinic being closed due to coronavirus at the time, all of my appointments were virtual, which we both found to be an easy and convenient way of communicating. As a competitive runner, I found Andy's knowledge of running to be particularly useful when discussing training schedules and running-specific exercises to incorporate, as well as his understanding of my keenness to return to exercise.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this service and will not hesitate to go back in the case of any further niggles.
Will definately be ony recommendation list
