This is not a sport massage therapists. Booked a sport massage therapist for 60 min. Expected a professionals as the reviews are very good from previous people. 1. On the day room was cold. Didn't bother to warm the room up knowing that they have a client at 10am. When you offer service such as massage you need to recognise and acknowledge the fact that your client will be partly undressed for you, as a therapist, to be able to provide a sport massage. Therefore you need a room with health and safety procedures in place, and, during the cold winter days, which is by the way today, the 18th of January 2023, having a warm room for this type of service, and prerape it to be warm for your client before they arrive is a must. It is not good enough to turn the heater on only when the client is in the room. This is not how massage service works. 2. If you call your employees a sport massage therapists they need to know how to provide a sport massage. I identified the problem areas as my shoulders. Aiden interpretation of it was to do just this- my shoulders. He didn't do the warm up of the upper body. Just started very gently massaging my right shoulder only! Not touching my other shoulder at all. Just up and down my right shoulder. It was redicilous. I asked to massage it with more presure but it continued being extremely gentle. This is not a sport massage or how it starts, you suppsed to warm up the whole upper body and then massage side by side, not allowing one area remain untouched for a long period of time. Especially in the cold room that you didn't bother to prepare for the client. And by the way, as a sport therapist you guys should know that when customer asks you to concentrate on one particular area it means do the whole body massage and stress on that particular area. I have booked an hour. Of course I expected a proper sport massage.
After 10 min I had enough of gentle touch of my one shoulder as well as feeling cold, and said that it is not working for me. I gave my feedback and left. I was not happy to make all that way down there driving for 30 min, expecting a sport massage and getting a graduate, I was not listened to when expessing my wishes and was left feeling cold when on the masseuse bed.
It is not a sport or any other massage service or how it should be.
My knee was putting my booked cycling trip to Tenerife into doubt, so a cycling friend recommended Laura at LMC to attempt to settle down the knee, so I could better enjoy my trip. I booked a couple of sessions the week before I travelled and was given exercises to repeat at home, easily followed by an app.
I was pretty much resigned to not riding much at all given the climbing involved but the knee felt immediately more comfortable after each session and surprisingly held up for the whole week of cycling, which included 28,000 ft of climbing. Given where I was just a week before my trip, I’d say Laura was a miracle worker! Highly recommended.
Matt has been a great help, discussing my goal and planning sessions to challenge me to improve fitness. He demonstrates each routine and explains which areas of the body and muscles they target to help me understand their impact.
After completing the final session on Friday, I am already feeling the benefits, increased flexibility and effort level in the gym, and some change in body shape.
Thank you Matt for your guidance and support.
I am so pleased with the results, I have signed up for another set with Matt.
