Tanya is a brilliant instructor. I am so grateful to her for the work she has done with me to correct my posture and strengthen my muscles using Pilates. Over the past year I have seen a massive improvement with my hEDS (hypermobile ehlers danlos syndrome- which Tanya has extensive knowledge in) particularly my joint stability and lessening of pain. She has a real understanding of my limitations and is able to adapt exercises where needed (e.g. reducing the amount of exercises that include standing as this is difficult for me). She also assesses my key areas for future development each session and builds exercise plans from this.

Her positive attitude and enthusiasm has kept me going at times when I've found things difficult. Tanya is always friendly and genuinely interested in you as an individual; her love for pilates comes across and has been passed on to me!

Tanya is as erudite as she is intuitive. Working with her has improved every aspect of my movement and function and eliminated several areas of pain for which self-massage provided only temporary relief since retirement from competitive sport 10 years ago. She has helped me to develop an awareness of bodily movement that I'm certain will provide a renewed foundation with which to continue an active lifestyle.

Having suffered from sprains and dislocations due to hEDS for many years, it was becoming difficult to walk and travel confidently. It felt like my body was working against me and had a knock on effect on my confidence, ability to exercise and resulting weight gain.

Being a fellow EDS sufferer, Tanya has a first hand appreciation of how this form of hyper-mobility affects one and is therefore able to tailor her approach to each client. I have worked 1-2-1 with Tanya since August 2019 after a pretty horrific grade 3 ankle sprain and have noticed a significant improvement in the ligament strength of my feet, ankles and knees. She focused on miniscule strengthening exercises to gradually undo the strength lost through years of sprains and dislocations. I have not had a fall or even a wobble since August :)

Working on posture correction, stretching and relaxation as well has meant I don't wake up with any back, pelvis and hip pain as I had done for many years after suffering from SPD during and after pregnancy. The work with Tanya has helped form a stronger foundation from which to exercise safely and consistently resulting in much needed weight loss as well!

During the lockdown, Tanya adapted quickly to moving our sessions online to ensure regular contact and that has been great! I highly recommend Intensys Life :)

Pilates with Tanya has changed my life. Tanya is an experienced Pilates trainer that also helps with mobility issues associated with Ehlers-Danlos and Hypermobility. I have struggled with painful joints, subluxations and generally being a bit wobbly, for years. Tanya has helped with my posture, core strength and even foot placement when walking. I have recently taken on a challenge to walk for a charity. Today I walked over 3 miles and apart from a bit of the usual aches and pains my joints don't hurt at all. Honestly pilates has changed my life from a daily battle against pain and injury to pain free walks and enjoying things I couldn't do before. Thank you Tanya for your support on my journey managing my pesky joints!

Tanya has been amazing with my physical development. I have hypermobility and Tanya has been extremely knowledgeable about my condition and about pilates in general.

Would 100% recommend to anyone who needs a pilates coach.

I've not done pilates since my last knee surgery and my range of movement has been very limited. After only a few reformer sessions I can already bend my knee properly and my walking and posture are visibly improving. Tanya is a fantastic instructor and her covid measures are very reassuring. She is understanding of my various health issues and she never pushes me to do anything I am uncomfortable with. I love coming to her sessions as I always leave feeling energised and very relaxed. I'd highly recommend Tanya to anyone, she's definitely the best pilates instructor I've ever had!

Tanya’s classes are very well constructed, with a good balance between improving flexibility and increasing strength. Each week she adds in some new elements, so it never gets boring, and I feel I’ve made steady progress during the time I’ve been coming to the classes. The videos have been helpful when I can’t get to class, or when we have a break, or just as an extra session. Thank you Tanya!

I really can’t recommend Tanya enough. I started Pilates classes with Tanya a few years ago and found that not only did I really enjoy the classes (not something I would have ever said about exercise!) but I could see the progress and could really feel it if I had to miss a week. She always makes sure in classes that you are working correctly, without pain and the classes are a really supportive and encouraging environment. Since Covid, I’ve moved to having 1-2-1 reformer sessions with Tanya and I only wish I had started them before! I’m making so much progress and getting noticeably stronger. Tanya notices when muscles aren’t engaging or taking the load they should and the little imbalances or turns that happen and helps you correct them to benefit from the exercise. She is also visibly motivated by her clients successes and is always kind, supportive and encouraging. I’ve learnt an incredible amount from Tanya about how my body works and how I can minimise pain- so often I’ve come in with a niggle or soreness that has gone by the end of the session.
