I had previously always performed high impact training, however after lower back and neck pain a friend suggested I give Pilates a try.
I wasn’t convinced initially that I would firstly enjoy it due to being low impact and secondly if it would give me the results I wanted. However 5 months in and I absolutely love it, the improvements in my core strength, body shape and weight loss have been amazing.
So if your looking for a class where the instructor motivates you at the same time as making you feel at ease, then I highly recommend you give Leah’s classes a go. Excellent value for money and a lovely friendly group of people to help keep you going.

I’ve been to various Pilates classes in the past but have never felt they were quite right for me! I’m running the London Marathon this year and knew I’d need to strengthen my body as part of the training, that’s when I came across Go Pilates-Essex! I’m now 2 months in and wow what a difference it has made already! The classes are small with the feel of a 1-2-1 lesson, they flow at a nice pace with new moves added each week, whilst perfecting the previous weeks! Leah is great a moving around the room and just tweaking your position with just a slight touch and what a difference that little tweak can make! I can’t praise Leah enough, she does an amazing job, thank you x

Highly recommend this class. I had always been active but when i was diagnosed with a mobility limiting condition i found my fitness was limited. I decided to give pilates a try . The improvement in my flexibility has been much improved and continues to do so. I wouldnt be without it now. Leah is a great instructor. Noone is pushed beyond their capabilities but we all improve . Give it a try ...

I have a desk job and noticed that after sitting at my desk day-in, day-out I had begun to develop posture issues, and a stiff, painful, shoulder which had very limited movement. I researched different exercises and decided to try Pilates and found Go Pilates - Essex. I started weekly 1:1 Pilates sessions with Leah; after a month I had increased movement and less pain in my shoulder, now after four months I have no stiffness or pain in my shoulder and have full mobility back. I can’t thank Leah enough for making me feel great. I highly recommend Leah and Go Pilates - Essex. Thank you.

Fabulous! Leah is a fab teacher always remembers peoples aches and pains and gives alternative ways to do exercises according to peoples abilities. If you're thinking about doing pilates give Leah's classes a go, we're all really friendly and the classes are fun, you won't regret it. I've been a member now for two years and I love it. My lower back pain is manageable and I'm now aware of which exercises I need to do to ease aches. Best exercise I've ever done. Go Pilates Essex!

I’ve been going to Leah’s Piyo and Pilates classes for about a year now and absolutely love them! I’d previously been going to a sports club/gym for 18 years but was getting fed up with impersonal service and over crowded classes and found that I wasn’t enjoying keeping fit any more. However I discovered Go Pilates-Essex and now really look forward to my weekly sessions. Leah has such a good way of balancing motivation with fun but is also very professional where technique etc is concerned. The classes are small and everyone is friendly and I love the atmosphere and ambience in the studio.

I’m getting towards 70 with a few skiing injuries! Since doing Pilates with Leah I barely notice them; mostly I don’t at all. Also I have seen with my elderly mother how important balance is. Her stability hasn’t been good for years and it has been quite a problem. Pilates has been great for that. Leah’s YouTube classes are really great, I can’t recommend her highly enough. Jenny

I have spent the past 8 years living with a debilitating back injury sustained at work. I suffered nerve damage and impingement to my left leg, a bulged disc at L5-S1 and muscle damage around the same area. Despite receiving NHS treatment, nothing has helped improve my situation, until that is, I discovered Go Pilates where i met Leah Payne. I was recommended by a very well respected Chiropractor, to take up Pilates and that is how it all started for me.
I first met Leah of Go Pilates, and began 1-2-1 sessions with her, not knowing what to expect and feeling very anxious as to what may happen. I had great fear of movement in any way which might involve my lower back and cause it to spasm or radiate pain. I spent years avoiding certain movement all together and as a result I became incredibly rigid and inflexible. I recall my first session/assessment with Leah in September 2021 and I was literally unable to lift my limbs off the ground or even sit with my legs out in front of me!
Fast forward 9 months later and I'm able to flex and bend without pain, sit with legs in front of me and even perform some pretty tricky stretches and exercises which even your average person would struggle with. I'm far more confident with my movement and flexibility in my lower back and am able to do alot more in my personal life than in recent years.
Please don't get me wrong, Leah is no miracle woker and hard work and determination is required from your part, but she has the knowledge, experience and expertise to guide and shape your recovery and improve your spinal health. I have had to work hard to get to where I am now, but I couldn't have done it without Leah and Go Pilates. My sessions have been tough but very safe and very well put together. If I have found myself in discomfort or unable to perform a specific movement, leah has an arsonal of knowledge to fall back on and provide you with a more comfortable movement or stretch to give relief. The sessions are very well guided and her ability to listen and understand the fears and anxieties you might have are amazing. Having a physical problem nye on always devlops into a mental one and Leah has that covered too. In my opinion she is a therapist of both the body and mind and I recommend her (Go pilates) to everyone!! If you don't believe me then go try it out for yourself, you won't regret it. This is not a sales pitch or a pre drafted blurb I've been asked to write, this is how truly thankful I am to Leah for the work she has done to give me my life back.
Last but by no means least I want to thank you Leah for giving me back my life again!! This is no exaggeration!! Thank you Go Pilates!!!!
