I have been attending The Pilates Studio classes for many years and am amazed by Michelle’s ability to get to the root of any physical difficulties and resolve them with just the right advice , support and exercises. From Pilates , Gyro to relaxation her classes are always innovative, challenging when they need to be and fun. I have and still will continue to recommend her to anyone who asks me for an experienced, capable teacher.

I love Michelle's classes! I have been attending her group classes for a few years but the online sessions have been a godsend during lockdown - keeping me moving and flexible! Michelle has a phenomenal ability to get to the root of people's problems (even over zoom and when she has lots of people in the class) and I always feel better after a session. I can't recommend Michelle enough!!

I have been attending the Pilates Studio High Barnet for well over 20 years since Michelle Papouis first opened it.
Every session I have attended either in a small group or more regularly on a 1 to 1, has been of invaluable benefit.
I always feel 100% safe, which is paramount in this kind of exercise.
Michelle's incredible physiology knowledge is impressive and quite unusual in this discipline.
Within minutes of being in the studio, Michelle can read and assess what your body needs in order to concentrate on those areas.
Over the years, Michelle has made it her responsibility to attend many relevant seminars and classes to further develop new techniques such as Gyrokinesis.
In recent months, because of the pandemic and the lock down periods, Michelle has worked tirelessly to provide Zoom sessions, both in group sessions as well as 1 to 1 sessions which have been life savers during these challenging times.
I highly recommend this studio for providing unique and tailor made various Pilates and Gyrokinesis sessions always provided safely and professionally.

Michelle is a star and has made a huge difference to my body shape and my life. When I went to her, I had a disabling back condition and I am now leading a normal life. I have attended her small group classes where exercises are tailor-made for individual needs and those exercises have kept me going through lockdown. She engages with everyone during her zoom classes. Both she and Colin have the ability to create some very memorable images, to help one visualise how to engage those muscles that are difficult to find. Michelle combines the skills of a pilates teacher, gyro teacher, physio and dancer, together with a desire to heal; which put her in a league of her own. By putting me in touch with her network of healthcare professionals, I have met others who have helped me proactively manage my body.

Having suffered long- term from back, and more recently, knee problems, the improvements the classes have made to my posture and body mechanics have been immense.

The in- person classes are both highly professional and great fun.

During lock down, the regular virtual classes have been a godsend in keeping me fit and healthy.

I can't recommend Michelle highly enough. She is so well-informed about Pilates, unfailingly positive and cheerful and has sorted out no end of long-term ailments for me. A really holistic approach ... she meets you where you are, rather than imposing routines. A life-changing discovery!
