Essex Pizza

Really bad experience! Built up 5 stamps for the 50% discount and order was declined via email. No phone call from them. Phoned them to be told that the offer should have been removed by hungryhouse and it was hungyhouses fault and not theirs! The person on the phone was very rude and asked me if I really expected the food we ordered for the half price total! Will never use them again, very bad customer service

Made one order of chicken strips, chicken burger and chips wasn't amazing but called in to mention lack of quality and was more than happy to help. They compensated with a large stuffed crust chicken and pepperoni pizza which was divine. Excellent customer service skills via the owner.

Awful food that was cold and tasted off. The delivery driver was 20 minutes late and was on the phone making a personal call when he arrived. When making a complaint I was met with a torrent of abuse and swearing. They are not a company deserving of anyone's custom and definitely not deserving of being allowed to trade. Disposable company!!

NO STARS only put one to put a review. Food was late. Delivery driver did not know house number and was trying walkways when we are in main road. Everything was either cold or Luke warm. Cookies were soggy and to be honest looked like 2 little piles of dog poo. No idea on taste looked awful so threw them in the bin. Half rack of rocks was 4 tiny ribs. Pizzas where greasy probably didn't help that they were not hot. Orders over the phone and ordered bottle of orange Fanta. Got orange tango. Would have been nice to tell me they did not have Fanta as I would have had Diet Coke instead.
Worst pizza I have ever had ended up throwing most of it in the bin. Asked for receipt which driver did not want me to have. Charged 50p more than advised and saw on drivers receipt that his was for delivery but this should have been advised. Will never order from them again. Keep your money or get dominoes

Paid £22 and £10 of that order wasn't in the bag, completely ripped off! Not to mention the driver didn't even offer me my change, he just walked off :D so left with half of a badly cooked dinner which isn't enough to feed 2 people as half of it wasn't there :p NEVER ORDER ITS NOT WORTH IT, GO TO DOMINOS

I don't normally do reviews but I feel on this occasion I must. I have used this gaff on a regular basis despite my orders being wrong on many occasions. Generally when they get it right the food was good sometimes excellent. Last night after spending the day at a family funeral , as you can imagine not in the best of places anyway, I ordered my very standard and exact same order as always.Forty min delivery time, bulk standard 45 min later. No pizza... hour later still no pizza hour and half no pizza no phone call nothing. So I phone them. To be told they had come to my door but we didn't answer. Absolute Tosh...always found us before. It's not hard...even for a business that hardly ever gets it right they still always found us. We had no media on of any description was talking very quietly to each other about six foot from front door. I do not require a hearing aid and there was 100% no knock.Despite now being really hungry and a cold pizza running round Chelmsford I still get no apology only ridicule by not even listening to my complaint but ignoring me and putting the phone down. At what point as an ex loyal customer did I deserve this treatment. Anyway I'm very hungry so I phone back despite being very angry about my treatment but very hungry. This time to be told he is coming back 4 min at most. 4 min past no pizza 10 min no pizza TWENTY MIN it turns up nearly two hours after the order which should have been f40 min . I feel I was very patient waiting well over twice as long as told offered cold pizza, no explanation,no apology.. no nothing. If you want to order a lucky dip pizza that could be right or wrong hot or cold or not at all then I can totally recommend but personally this was the last time. As for the so called business would reccomend some sort of help in learning to run a business properly. Overall a total shambles

Have ordered from here before and it's been good, but unfortunately this time everything arrived lukewarm or cold. I wouldn't have minded waiting a little longer for the delivery if the food arrived hot, as I had to spend time reheating everything before I could even eat it, which I shouldn't really have to do...

NO STARS PLEASE READ. I HAD ANTS CRAWLING IN MY FOOD. Last night 26.02.2018 I ordered from the above restaurant. I ordered Spaghetti Bolonaise, mozzarella sticks, cookie dough desert and a dip. I put the Spaghetti Bolonaise on a plate and had about 3 spoonfuls andcouldn’t eat it... it smelt funny like it was out of date. I had a couple of the mozzarella sticks and then opened the cookie dough desert. I broke a tiny bit of one of the cookies off and I couldn’t believe my eyes but ants were crawling all over my food. I called the restaurant and they advised that I should chuck it in the bin and contact Hungry House (the company I ordered it from) for a refund. They were really unhelpful and didn’t seem to care at all. I have literally felt so sick all day and have been sick about 6 times in total. I am starting to feel much better now. Dirty restaurant, do not order from here.

Since the above I have been in contact with the Local Authority who visited the premises. They advised me that the cleanliness of the restaurant was below poor and that there was so much debris on the floor they couldn’t carry the full inspection out. Local authorities advised that since they were reviewed the last time, nothing has changed just got worse which results to them considering some prohibition actions.
