Calzone Essential Pizza

We are local and we have been to this restaurant two times now, once for Calzone and Prosecco and once for a sharing appetiser and beers! We have loved it. However, the lack of vegan options is disappointing. Please consider some vegan options!

Had takeaway and arrived very hot unlike all other takeaways. Very tasty, good portion size, delicious paella and cheese cake. Highly recommend

Had a lovely meal. Definitely recommend. Food was tasty and came out quickly and really hot. Will be going again.

Friendly staff but the restaurant was cold, food wasn’t very nice and there’s no parking.

Pizza was no different to Asda pizza, very generic and full of cheese. Not traditional thin crispy Italian style.

Garlic bread was caped in some kind of butter oil which I’ve never seen before

Cocktails were amazing!

Chips were nice but would expect some kind of seasoning…

Location lovely but parking horrendous.

The path/entrance in is dirty, no effort made to clear it.

A shame as we had high expectations but I think if we ever came back it would be purely to sit by the canal with a cocktail

Had 2 excellent meals at this restaurant.
First was dinner, food and service was flawless and second was for breakfast which was equally good. The place has a real abroad vibe/atmosphere about it which we love.

Meaty pizza, quadruple cheese pizza and a salad were absolute winners! The pizza was made about 10 minutes ahead of our collection time. A little closer would have been great so the crusts stayed crisper, but can't complain! Would order again.

Lovely setting by Apsley Lock and direct access to the Canal Towpath. Lunch..midweek...Delicious!
A Warm welcome, the staff were lovely. Very toasty sitting underneath the heater.
