The Taste of Italy (Rednal)

Was really disappointed this evening. Lived in Rubery for 30 years and this has been our favourite takeaway. Ordered via Uber Eats, arrived after nearly an hour with one item off our order missing. When we rang to ask why we were told it is no longer on the menu????? The menu was pushed through the door this week?? So one of us went without our food! Won't be ordering again!!!!!

We ordered our food for 6 o clock and it came 2 hours early with a different drink to what we ordered and only one bag of cheesy chips when we ordered 2 and they were stale with a hair in them. The garlic bread was burnt stiff and the only thing was was decent was the pizza.

Taste of Italy was always my go to takeaway, the last few times I have ordered it hasn’t been very nice, I’m guessing the change in management has something to do with this! The chips tasted normal but my pizza, the one I always order was completely different and pretty tasteless, the new peri chicken wings were very dried out and tasted very powdery, such a shame as takeaways aren’t very cheap anymore and only having a treat every so often you look forward to it!

I placed my order some of my family around they paid fish and chips for my dad and the rest of my family ordered as well, I ordered 2 large fish only had 1 delivered, my dad and my brother said the chips was absolutely poor they looked like the scraps what you would chuck in the bin at the end of the night. The order was completely cold, normally they are very good but 2 day the order was missing and cold and not good enough to eat.

Delivery time is absolutely shocking, left waiting 2 hours over the time stated. Shop took the phone off the hook so always engaged so couldn't ask for an update. When food arrived it was cold and 3 out of 6 items missing they then had to redeliver the missing items and only 2 shown up, so I gave up. Never use this place!!!!

Ordered the food online, waited an hour with nothing (I live 5 minnutes away) called up and was told it just left. Called again after another 30 minute wait and told again it was just leaving so I asked to have it cancelled and I was abruptly hung up on. Don't recommend.

Great choice of various foods, fish and chips we had were good quality at a reasonable price. Staff were cheery! Need to repair the front door though as the waiting was freezing!

Ordered kebab meat and chips with salad in store, had to wait a while and prices deffo gone up alot since my last one but it was lovely and fresh and would deffo order again
