St – Johns Plumbers

Our Boiler pressure went through the roof on a Friday, called through and unfortunately no engineers in my area (I’m now thinking of the worse) however they organised an engineer to be with me first thing in the morning. Engineer arrived and before any work commenced he explained the problems and how he could fix the faults. Work completed the same day and I must say the it was an all round excellent job by both the company and the engineer

The plumber who came to service the boiler, was great. They rang on the day to advise what time they will be coming. The service was excellent and advised what they where doing. Very friendly and would recommend anyone to use them.

Super quick, friendly service. The plumbers that were sent out to us were fab They fixed things up nicely. A little bit expensive but happy with the job that’s been done. Would recommend to anyone in the local area.

I had my gas turned off because I could smell gas, but the leak couldn’t be found. It wasn’t from the boiler like I first thought, so the engineer sealed off the gas meter for safety.

Thoroughly recommend. This plumber service was efficient, resourceful in managing to find a gold system boiler and very thorough in looking over the whole heating system in the house. Thank you.

Gas Safety Check. The short version is STEER CLEAR. Never have I ever experienced incompetency of this level.

1. Needed an urgent Gas Safety Check.
2. Googled Same Day Gas Safety Check St Johns Wood.
3. St - Johns Plumbers came at the search, and had 6 '5-star' google reviews. On 20th January, I called, and booked in for a same day Gas Safety Check. They demanded full payment by bank transfer (they refused to take a card even though their website clearly indicates credit cards are accepted) the charge was £204.00 which is about double what you would ordinarily pay. However due to the urgency / same day turn around that was promised, I assumed the price reflected a premium and expedited service.
4. The Engineer was booked in for 3pm, he did not turn up until closer to 5pm.
5. I was promised the certificate overnight. It did not arrive. I chased every day for 10 days, and kept being promised the certificate ASAP, 'by lunchtime', 'the engineer will send it over night',
6. The office manager / assistant Ricky assured me he was chasing and speaking to the engineer constantly
7. Today Ricky advised me that actually, there would be no certificiate provided because the engineer had been unable to carry out the safety check because it was a commercial boiler vs a residential boiler. This was news to me! AND had the engineer or Ricky called when the engineer was on site on 20th January to advise this, then I would have been able to undertand (no where on their website do they say they only to residential boilers and at no point was I advised this verbally or in writing). I would have expected a partial refund (i.e. charge the call out fee, but not for the service you're unable to perform) AT NO POINT was I asked the type of boiler, nor advised that they could only do residential boilers (to be honest, I'm still unsure of the type of boiler and am getting someone else out who does both types ... who is only charging £120.00.
PLEASE save yourself a lot of frustration, money, time, DO NOT use St Johns Plumbers - they are charletons who take your money and waste your time, do not tell the truth, do not provide a service, do not keep you updated, they have been completely unapologetic. I am still waiting for the call from the MD of the business, who apparently doesn't work in the office.
