1 star is generous for this place. It is always closed and the people are incredibly unhelpful. I went there probably 15min before closing time and was told that the till has been closed and i need to go to a different place. There was another 3 people with me that we were all expecting the post office to be open at the time we arrived. 1 person even ran to make sure he is in time but that did not change the fact that someone decided to leave early this day. If checking this place reviews, I would save you some time and say DO NOT GO THERE!

Totally inept. Tried to charge me more than Royal Mail's official price for the postal service I was asking for, and couldn't explain why when I showed them RM's own pricing structure.
I don't know if it's an attempt to scam or just sheer incompetence.

The people who work here are ok, however some could do with a bit of training on customer services skills. Its not all of them, just some...That's why you got four stars

the old man working there was not nice. He was rude to me twice.
I was returning the parcel in this post office which is a grocery shop as well. I showed him the OR code, he failed to scan the code the first time and said to me “increase the light, light”. I didn’t not get it but soon get it, replying” oh, increase the light of the screen? Yeah, I can”. I mean, he can tell em something like “would you please increase the light of your screen” I mean.
And after returning to the parcel, I wanted to buy a stamp to send a postcard, I asked him a pen to write down the return address, and I was about to write, he said “oh, you cannot stand here to write because other customers would need to come here”.
But there was only one woman shopping inside. So I walked to the small desk near the counter, the old man left the service counter as well.

The old lady who is usually behind the Post Office counter is unbelievably rude and discriminates people. Today I went to the post office to send my parcel. The lady was stocking the shelves and ignoring me there and she knew I was waiting for the counter service. I waited for a minute and ask her if they were serving for post office. She said I am stocking now, wait a minute. Another minute, I waited and asked her if they serve at the counter. She gave me the look and angrily threw boxes on the floor and came to the counter with a rude attitude. When I ask her what the problem is, she started arguing and refusing to serve me. It took nearly 5-6 minutes argument and everybody was waiting in the queue. She acted like I was the person behaving rude, unreasonable and impatient by being there to post my parcel. I asked to talk to the owner in the store. The other lady said to me the owner is not there and they told me I can call the owner on the phone. I asked what her name is to make a complaint about her and she refused to give me her name. When I call the store on the phone, the old lady answered the phone and claiming her name is SHINY and she was the supervisor. Is this a joke? First they said the owner is not there and they didn't mention she was the supervisor and giving me the store's telephone number by knowing I would call on the number they gave me. And then she claims she is the supervisor on the phone. .. Absolutely terrible customer service. This happened to me second time. I see many reviews about her rudeness and I can't believe how McColl's still tolerate this type of customer service.

Plan: Go to Post office with parcel at 13.00, wait them to say they closed, get angry and leave bad review.
What happened: 13:03 - The lady behind Post till served me nicely and polite, like in the book. Explained each options I can send a parcel and waited until I struggled with my QR code. In the end I asked her why they are usually closed at 1pm? They are closed 13.00-13.30 - lunch break, but if she have customers she will serv and take 30 min break after. Than she continued to serv the next customer even the time was 13.10. Probably she'll open later afrter, but... thats life.
