Sidwell Street Post Office

Hours advertised as opening at 8.30, it’s 9.00 and still no open tills.

Friendly staff. They were closed between 1 and 2 pm because of staff shortage another day, so I had to wait for around 50 min to reopen.
Still, handy place to pop in when needed

Just grateful to find a post office in town.
The post office is within a mini Morrison shop which is very clean and well stocked. However,be prepared for some queuing as it's very popular.

Do not use this post office. They are shamefully understaffed (1 person). The last time I was in there I had to leave because the queue was so long. Today I was second in the queue but behind a male member of staff who then went to the counter with some documents and did goodness knows what for 20 minutes leaving a massive queue behind him. Never again!

Went in on Saturday and it was shut due to staffing issues, went back at 0830 on Monday morning and it was still shut! When it is open there is only ever one cashier and waiting times can be long.

Went in this morning at 9.08.
Closed up.
No sign, to say why its not open or if it will open today at all.
Feel sorry for the shop staff who have nothing to do with the Post Office.
We really do need this Post Office.

We have been trying to post an item three times over the last few days. Today the post office was closed at 12pm (with a hand written sign up saying they were opening at 1:30) which was the only time i could arrive during my lunchbreak and closed again at 5pm (with another hand written sign saying they were shutting at 4pm) when I went after work. However, on both occassions staff can be clearly seen sat in the post office. Unreliable.

The staff are so friendly, chatty and above all, helpful. Have been in a few times now for different reasons and cannot fault the service. Have never had to wait either. Good central location too. Would definitely recommend and use again 👍🏻
