Completely rude staff, apart from the manager and the lady that works on a Sunday, the rest don't want to serve and will push bits of paper around rather than serving customers and making the queue smaller. When you are served it's with contempt and what appears to be arrogance, such a shame Winchester is a fine city and beautiful high street I wonder if tourists feel the same when they use the Post Office?

I do my regular banking here and despite all the whiny old goats leaving 1 star reviews everybody is lovely here! I don't know why these people even allowed to be on the internet, they just radiate negativity and ruining people's days... just because they are miserable that doesn't mean you have to pass it on!!
I always had positive experiences here: the ladies in the window are always nice and chatty and ready to help, the rest of them are always asking people in the queue how can they help and never even a sound from them, not even if somebody was particularly difficult! Excellent customer service!!! Thank you!

Constant cues, pointless self service machines as you have to wait for a member of staff to come over and verify it.
I appreciate they are massively understaffed but that doesn’t account for the rudeness from the staff.
Terrible place to go, they are going on strike, maybe they would have reason to strike if they supplied a good service

I went in today to send back a parcel. Queue was about 15 deep until the blonde lady (I'm assuming the supervisor/manager) then swept in and started addressing each customer in the queue for those who needed the cashier and those who didn't.
She whipped through the queue in about 5 mins. Superbly efficient and each customer addressed appropriately
Well played and I promised her I'd leave a review.

Bobble hat man 👍

Had to alter my car's tax class and pay for it, the lady was very helpful. Quite a queue but it moved quickly.

I gave it 5 starts because one of the employees. I asked for her name and it is Raasika. She is so kind, helpful and quick. She always smiles regardless working in a very busy location. We could do with more people like her in retail and services. Thank you Raasika

Absolutely disgusting personality on the women who does the passports (black hair)Obviously doesn't like herself so has to be absolutely rude to everybody, even another girl in the queue in front of me had a word with her and ask her to be more polite. Another girl who works there with blonde hair, very rude too. Maybe they should leave their jobs, then the post office can employ some decent polite people. Absolute disgrace. How they haven't been sacked yet I don't know!!!!

The treatment of the general public from staff in this establishment is nothing short of deplorable. Standards of customer service have dropped everywhere over the past 2 years, and understandably, some companies have struggled to maintain sufficient numbers of staff. But, the way an elderly lady was spoken to by a member of the team at the post office today, after waiting 35 minutes in a queue, was borderline abusive. After reading the other reviews, the only people to blame are the Post Office themselves, for allowing this to happen despite the complaints. The problem is, If you wish to send a letter or in her case a Christmas card, they have no option other than to use the Post Office.
