Fiveways Post Office

The staff of this post office are always helpful and very patient with customers. This post office has been delivering an exceptional and exemplary service to the local community for some time now with their wonderful 7 day per week opening hours. Thanks to all staff.

It's Sunday and there is this amazing Post Office that opens today and every day 6 am til 10 pm. I was sending a parcel to New Zealand and the man behind the counter was helpful and very pleasant. What a find and so comparatively near home. I shall tell all my friends.

Just encountered the most rude woman at this post office. There were 2 ladies there. The elderly one was tidying shelves and although she saw me enter, never bothered to ask if she could help. I eventually approached her and asked if I could exchange the old pound coins for the new ones and she immediately became angry and said in an aggressive tone "well they're not out yet! They're not out yet!". I said In response that I don't want to get caught with coins and encounter issues by waiting. She then waived her hands angrily and said I can exchange the coins at the counter (with her colleague). It's October 6th and people are being encouraged to get rid of the coins. It's my choice to do so in the manner that I choose to. I found this lady's attitude to be horrible. Not acceptable in a role where you're serving the public.

I have used this post office a number of times and had previously been very happy with the service (usually a very polite and friendly gentleman has served me).

However, today I phone up with a brief query and the lady interrupted me mid-sentence , without apology or explanation, then hung up on me.

I phoned back thinking there had been a misunderstanding and the same lady answered, was very, very rude, gave no apology, and hung up on me again.

Please can someone send her for basic courtesy training, or remove her from service?

This post office has some of the most convenient opening hours in Colchester, and is open on a Sunday which is a huge bonus. Though there is a car park both at the front and rear, it can get very busy at times.

Considering the area they cover, they are very efficient and friendly

Friendly staff and the post office opening hours make it far easier to visit outside normal busier times. Parking available, which is another plus.

Parking is a nightmare. I always have to drive up n down trying to get a space.
