Singleton Post Office

Too busy to do the change of address on a v5 even though its a service they supposedly offer. Funny that as you weren't too busy taking the cash from the woman that works in paddy Power and handed over £6000 were you, whilst I waited 15 minutes!

I don't normally do reviews, but felt after being spoken to rudely for the umpteenth time by the woman at the post office counter, I feel that I need to vent.
Sending a parcel to Australia and was asked if I'd filled out a sticker to declare what was in the parcel. Told her I hadn't (how would I have been able to as they keep them behind the counter and didn't know I needed to) I then got told I needed to and a pen and sticker were shoved at me. I then felt like I was getting a telling off as I hadnt filled the whole thing in, as I'd never had to before and the writing was so small and in different languages I couldn't really see what I had to fill in. Also feeling like I needed to hurry as there was a cue behind me and she was getting impatient.
As I'm trying to see what I needed to fill in after being told I hadn't done it properly, (maybe she could have been nice enough to show me where I needed to write) she then starts telling me all the different costs, which pretty much went in one ear and out of the other as I'm still trying to work out where and what I need to write.
I think next time I will travel further afield just to make sure I get good customer service. After that ordeal and previous experiences I feel quite upset, thinking maybe it's me and they just take a sudden dislike to me as she was perfectly pleasant to the woman in front.

Staff are good and polite, it’s very sad and shameful that there’s always one staff works. Hardly two.
Post office don’t care about the customers who are waiting outside of the shop with a 100 meter long queuing, it should have two staff every day morning to evening 7 days a week but who cares?
I can’t believe there’s just one staff at work during this Christmas??? Ridiculous

Had a parcel delivered here as i am at work all day and it should make it more convenient But its not. They advertised post office hours from 6 am to 10pm. Went in to collect it about 7.30pm and couldn't get it as they had two staff on who are not trained in the post office, not their fault but bad management. Asked them to get the manager on the phone and they didn't have the number.

Very hard working staff for a little and often very busy post office. :)

Unfortunately, attempted to send some parcels these were items of clothing and footwear.During the transaction the women carrying out the job spent the time discussing a different matter with one of the postmen who had come to collect something , she then got confused with the labels and receipts, when I reminded her I’d handed in 3 parcels and I’d only got 2 receipts she got agitated saying I’d got it in my pocket, which I hadn’t so had to insist if got only 2 so she ripped a label off one of the parcels and gave that back to me !!! So I now have a refund for an item I still have but not for the expensive item that I handed to her so out of pocket by £104 .Not happy

The two ladies who work here, Pauline and Debra have consistently gone out of their way to help me and are always doing their best to process the huge bags of mail order records I bring in twice per week. Ignore the negative reviews here, when I’m queueing they are always super helpful to everyone .
Yes, it’s busy sometimes but that’s not anyone’s fault, just visit first thing, or late in the afternoon . The best local post office I’ve used . Thank you !
