Camberwell Green Main Post Office

Disappointing customer service.
Never been to this branch before. I went to pay cash into my bank account. I was spoken to like a naughty schoolchild because, apparently, they don't usually like to accept cash deposits after 2pm. My psychic abilities were sadly lacking, but I was told to make sure I remembered next time.

Used branch finder to check if they did document checks. When I got there for some reason they had an issue with my documents being photocopied onto the same a4 page. I gave them a second copy to use in addition but this still was not suitable for them. I had the very same documents in exactly the same format stamped and certified at another post office last year. This post office were just incompetent. Customer ahead of me also having an issue with thei staff's incompetence. I will not be returning. I'd score zero if I could!

Very odd post office. The male staff member doesn’t listen to your request - I find myself repeating “2nd class” 5 times.

This has got to be the very worst UK PO I've ever had the misfortune of using a few times over the years & on my recent visit it appears nothing has improved & may even be worse. Gave me completely incorrect information (like other reviewers here) despite me pointing out the correct information to her from the documents/lealet & expaining to her why what she was saying could not be correct. She insisted that she was correct & refused to listen to me further & after wasting nearly half an hour I had no choice but to leave & go to another PO some distance away. They did it immediately for me in 5mins & told me that the information Camberwell Green Main Post Office gave me was absolute nonsense & totally incorrect & they obviously didn't know what they were talking about or doing. I've complained to Royal Mail & received compensation for my wasted time & inconvenience & apparently they have requested that the staff at Camberwell Green Main Post Office be made to undergo additional training, though from my experience there I doubt this will be of much help to them. Obnoxious, uninformed, poorly trained, incompetent staff who don't know what they're doing & don't know the very basics of the services they are supposed to provide. Save yourself the hassle & your time & use another PO if you can.

Awful attitude from staff. Easily one of the worst services in South London.

Very disappointed came to the postoffice forgot my musk when I went to the counter I said sorry I forgot my mask first she said no problem later she offer to buy one for from the post office for £1 I said you not i won't because I left it in vehicle, yourself you should wear as well I was refused to be served but there was another gentleman who was served in another counter by another lady.
It is very shameful I highly recommend everyone not to there, unprofessional no signs out on the door where it says we won't served you if you don't wear one.

I really want to be partial to hard workers there but I find it hard. Building is completely derelict I’ve never seen post office in this poor condition, water stain marks and mold everywhere! Its been like this for years. Staff fail to be helpful and queues can long long with only one teller working but multiple people in the back.
