Poole Road Post Office

Avoid this post office and shop. The post office shuts at 9pm, we went in at 19:50 pm to return a parcel. The man told me the post office shuts at 8pm, I said it's not 8pm yet and online shows you shut at 9pm, he told me to come back tomorrow and that it will take him 10-20 min to open it again, he was rude. Why shut early? Your there all night and close late in the first place! We drove up the road to ruxley lane post office who happily took our parcel no issues. We have had many issues before at this shop to do with pre paid postage and QR codes and they are so rude - no interest unless they are making money in their over priced corner shop. The attitude and service is disgusting. We will not be returning and will be complaining to post office and spreading the word to avoid your shop!!!! Dont open a royal mail here or shop if you cannot provide good customer service !!

Excellent service, super friendly staff, nothing too much trouble. I get parcels delivered to this post office which gives piece of mind as I can never guarantee I will be home when a delivery is due so I never miss a parcel anymore. I also send lots of parcels too. They can be extremely busy especially as there is only 1 member of staff but they are still there with a smile on their face happy to help. Would definitely recommend going here if you want good, reliable and quick service.

Initially ignored me. Tried to send 2 parcels pre-stamped, needed proof of posting. Told me to put them in the mail box, wouldn't give me certificate, then told me they were old stamps - which are valid to January- then told me to go to main post office. A liar, and appalling attitude. Been going here for some time, never again. Formal complaint logged. Avoid this place like the plague

To be fair, I ve been using this shop for a good few years now, not that I use the post office as much as some of the other regulars, but I’m generally happy with there service, and very much so with the staff here, always polite and curtiuse.

Always helpful, service with a smile. Nothing to much trouble. I have witnessed some difficult people in the shop (post office & store) these were delt with calm and with politeness by staff.

I always use this post office as Mani who runs it is very helpful with all my posting requirements. Best little shop in the area ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

I Read all the other negative reviews, so I decided to try it for myself. I took a prepaid parcel to get posted. The guy told me "I need the QR code to send it as the one I had was the old style barcode" and then he walked off.
I then took this to the next nearest post office and sent it successfully.

To the store owner:
If you don't want to provide a service, do yourself a favour and stop. Just be a local store, you're adding nothing else of value

If I could give 0 stars I would. The staff here are very rude and don't like to serve me with pre-paid Royal Mail postage. I only go in a couple of times a week with a couple of parcels.

I've seen learnt they don't get any money for processing my packages, and whilst I understand their frustration, there is an agreement between the Post Office and Royal Mail that these packages should be processed and handled by Post Office branches. I can be in and out in all of 30 seconds, but instead I am met with continued problems from them and even as far as previously refusing to give me proof of postage (which I need for compensation if the post gets lost).

Rude staff, avoid at all costs. I'll be going elsewhere after my latest shouting match - and I won't be buying any more food/drink from there either now, lost my custom entirely.
