Awful Service

The person that served me there put through the post I wanted to send and charged me the overall amount of £13.00 for two national and 1 international letters all of which did not exceed the 'Letter' category on your website. Once I got the receipt I noticed that one of the letters was wrongly classified as large letter, as it did not exceed the dimensions and weight listed on the website.

I kindly enquired about it and the man who served me got instantly aggressive and would refuse to hear me out, saying that this was his shops with his prices and that he didn't care what the prices were on the website.

I was very badly treated by this person who was shouting at me, even though I was very calm and polite. The man ended up kicking me out of the store and I mentioned I would report him.

Avoid at all costs!

Please avoid visiting this store/shop. The Shop Owner / Staff / Post Master is explicitly rude, abrupt, foul mouthed with a bad attitude. He overcharges for services and items and is argumentative. The staff are very unhelpful, unwelcoming and unfriendly. Please note that this store DOES NOT PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING IN LINE WITH GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS. This store is tiny, uncomfortable and filthy. It is not clean and is never cleaned with is unsafe. I asked for the price to send a parcel via Parcelforce and was advised £42.95, when I checked on line it was only £14.95 via Parcelforce. This Post Office should be shut down as it is illegally overcharging. The shop owner always forces customers to buy additional items or adds them to the bill without asking. PLEASE STAY AWAY!

If I could give no stars, I would. Absolutely avoid going here as its completely a terrible service. Royal mail should shut him down as I was completely shocked at his treatment to customers and clear ignorance to services post offices provide.

I have a Zara package and wants me to find it myself in his store because he can’t be bothered! No people skill whatsoever

The postmaster refused to provide a certificate of postage for a freepost mail even when there is no queue- saying it is a franked mail but it is clearly not and simply an envelope provided by a public body with a business reply freepost addrress.

At other times, the queuing time outside could be as 15mins+ and the shop front get cluttered with a large number of parcels

Today, I have visited this post office and the older man wanted to overcharge me £3.25 instead of £1.53 for a second class large letter. Prior to the visit I have checked the Royal Mail posting guidelines and ensure my latter is within the guidelines. I nicely said why you over charging me, it's within the Royal mail guidelines he started to shout back and talking about me to other customers.

I then went to the main post office in Kingston, they checked my latter and confirmed it's within the Royal Mail guidelines and only paid £1.53. I will submit a complaint to post office/Royal Mail head office and will ask for a license review as I believe this branch should shut.

I see from other reviews that I am not alone in receiving this truly shocking service.

BE CAREFUL. the short man tried to trick me before and was charging twice the price of the product.
When i tried calling them to inquire about my parcel he said call royalmail then dropped the call. then didnt answer the phone anymore. my BRP is in that parcel!!! very unhelpful, disrespectful and lazy!
I will make sure you and your business will be reported! this kind of service and attitude shouldnt be tolerated!

Wanted to give no stars. Avoid this place, the shorter man thinks he is funny in front of other men to women. Does things like shining the barcode scanner beams in to my eyes, pulls the receipt away when I'm trying to take it etc. It isn't funny and it is harassment. I work in the hospital opposite and try to avoid going here as much as I can. Its also disgustingly dirty in the shop.
